OS will not boot up. unable to start in any mode and also unable to do chkdsk. doing an OS will not boot test, results in sata error uncorrectable data or is read only

My best guess is that your hard drive has failed or is failing. Replace it. Boot to your Windows CD/DVD and install windows. Then add your old drive as a second disk and, if you are lucky, you can copy your data from it before it fails completely.

Good luck. I hope this helps.

ACER T180 KEEPS REBOOTING IN ERECOVERY MANAGEMENT MODE, EVEN WHEN I EXIT AND DO A REBOOT IT STILL GOES TO THE RECOVERY PAGE. USING F8 DOES NOT WORK AS WELL TO ENTER SAFE MODE.

If it's still under warranty, I suggest talking to your supplier or ringing Acer. If not, by the sounds of it you might be infected by some virus.. or a hardware fault. I am unable to tell. Perhaps getting advice from a local computer shop would be the best way, maybe allowing them to look in to it for an hour and seeing whether it's worth repairing.

Unable to restore to factory default. Boot up with 98 boot disk will not allow me to change to another drive. I am told that the operating syst is newer then what they gave me on the cd. I have gone to the...

go into the BIOS (Setup)(Should be F2, but look for the instruction on the DELL splash screen). Try to move the cd-rom up the list. The instructions should be on the screen somewhere, sometimes it is + to move up - to move down. It should say on the screen. Tthen save the settings and reboot. Let us know if it still does not boot from CD. You will have to hit a key when it says "Hit any key to start from CD.." before the timer expires.

Every time we try to use the internet it says unable to find server, if we unplug the ntl modem and plug it straight back in the internet connects how do we solve this

sounds like the internet connection is not setup to Ur modem. When u unplug it redetects the modem and connects. try uninstalling the modem from the control panel - system - device manager. keep the modem connected and reboot. U may have to use control panel - add/remove programs any programs the modem cd installed. on reboot use the modem cd only to get the driver and let windows control the modem.
