Simpson Harmony Nova. Model 75A 954W00 Trips the circuit breaker when turned on. Have disconnected the plug feeding power to the hot plates and confirmed the problem is there (as the oven works fine with this disconnected.) Any thoughts on what's causing the dead short?

SOURCE: Every time we turn on

The glass plate warmer element is faulty and short circuits every time you turn it on. The 'pop' you hear is the active short circuiting to earth. It needs replacing.

Where is the power windows fuse in 1984 gmc tk

Probably not a fuse, but, a circuit breaker. If the circuit breaker gets hot it may trip. If it trips none of the windows will work. You can also check for voltage at the circuit breaker. I have felt of circuit breakers that were hot to the touch, that particular vehicle had a bad window motor. My info for your model year isn't the best.

My hot tub trips the GFCI. THe GFCI holds when I disconnect the wires running into the hot tub. I have disconnected EVERYTHING from the circuit board including the heater and the GFCI still trips.

Sounds like wet or bad wiring somewhere but u should do a visual inspection of all the wires & connections first then through process of elimination. Turn off breaker disconnect all wires and connect one wire then turn breaker on & if it dosent pop the. Turn it off and connect one more wire and turn the breaker on & continue until you get the breaker to pop and the last wire or board u just connected is your problem & go from there.

What causes caravan aircon to trip circuit breaker on start up

My first guess would be that the compressor has seized. If not the compressor seizing, then I would look for a short to ground in the wiring. If you pull the cover of the AC you will most likely find that the compressor motor is plugged into a receptacle. If you can unplug or otherwise disconnect the compressor motor from its' power source and activate the thermostat to run and the circuit breaker does not trip, it is the compressor motor. If the circuit breaker trips, then it's in the wiring.

I have a apw wyott eletric hot plate model chp-1a. Lately, it keeps on tripping the circuit. Can any one tell what's wrong? thanks. tt

If the breaker trips immediately when you plug it in, then you have a short in the power cord. If it trips when you turn it on then look for a short at the switch or the burner element. If it stays on a while and heats up then trips, it could be a fault inside the element or possible wiring connectors that are not good and tight. Look for discoloration in the wires and connectors.

Griller on simpson harmony nova oven

In my experience, it is normal to leave the the door open when grilling, otherwise it is liable to cause the bakelite handle of the grilling pan to get very hot, and possibly melt or catch fire, and make it to hot to hold the handle.
Plz rate my solution.

Thanks.

Frig trips circuit breaker

Hello gonzomg69,
The two other comments posed at you from Blue Dog and 20YRSEXP are good ones and necessary to get to the root cause of the problem however I have a few ideas to share with you that may help.. First off, I am assuming that the circuit breaker you mention is the one that protects the outlet that feeds your fridge power. If thats correct, and you just started to have breaker trips, the obvious question is ..does that circuit breaker also supply power to other receptacles and do those have any additional appliances or 'loads' on them that are drawing current? The circuit breaker current rating is based on the wire size so that regardless of what you plug into a receptacle, that breaker limits current so you won't melt the insulation or have a fire. Also, you should be aware that circuit breakers do go bad and that may be your problem too..
I hope this information helps you...
Regards,
Rick

Breaker for condenser runs hot and trips frequently

check the side of outdoor unit for a name plate and see if breaker is correct size as is required on name plate. then test, run and start capacitor to see if within 10 percent of rated value. if ok then look at contactor to see if you are starving voltage through it to compressor. if you are then back trace to main electrical panel and see if breaker that feeds outside disconnect is good and wires are snug. then check breakers adjacent to it to see if they are good and transferring heat improperly.
