Question about InFocus Rear Foot: LP330, LP335 Multimedia Projector
I have three InFocus LP335's that I bought off ebay so I could use the bulbs for my LP330. However, my LP330 is now flickering a bit, so I am hoping to resurrect the LP335's for backups and possibly for the increased lumens.
When I plug in the LP335's, there are no orange or green power lights AT ALL and no fan noises. Nothing happens when I press the power button. I have tried different bulbs and opened the cover to make sure that the connector from the button/LED module to the main board is connected properly.
Can anyone think of anything I could try?
Thanks very much!
Repair the power supply.

Try concluding that your LP335s are junk.

Yeah, strange enough the lamp timer was already reset. I think whomever had this projector before me had tested it before selling it. Thanks for the response, though!

SOURCE: Unit will not Power Up.
Terry, I had the same problem. Its a small capacitor on the power board labelled 'C16'(right in the middle of the board) its value is 16volt 100uf.
I also changed the biggest one on the board as well( 450volt 270uf @85deg). The big one was sourced through RS components @£5.14, the other I got through a maplins store for the grand sum of 13 pence.
Both are quite easy to change if your not adverse to taking the unit apart. (Just remember where all the leads plug in).
A torx T10 screwdriver, and soldering iron is all you need.

SOURCE: wont light up
the colorwheel needs replacing. if the colorwheel won't spin, the lamp won't light. if you hear a high-pitched whir, the colorwheel works, which means there is a power supply issue. there is a fix for that, but you have to be good at soldering. if you are give it a try: http://www.infocus.com/service/asc/communications/tech_notes/2006/09/tn495g.pdf
