Did you push it too far back and flatten hose ? ck closely before suspecting part better yet try a load without hose connected..if you still have problems and you have top mount filter remove back and remove screws holding lint screen housing pull it out and be sure it is completely clean last suspect would be operating thermostat located beside housing you just removed 2 large wires and possible 2 purple wires may be cutting off too soon but doubtful it would take that long to dry

My 4 yr. old Maytag electric dryer stopped in the middle of drying towels and wouldn't restart. I called one repairman who told me it was my motor and I called another repairman closer to where I live and he came out and replaced my fuse. My dryer works fine now.

Takes three cycles to dry towels, displays 45 min. turns off within 30 min. still not dry

2 possible reasons, either the towels have not been spun at a high enough speed and are too wet, or the dryer is not getting hot enough because it is not switched to a high enough heat setting or there is a partial element or thermostat or humidity sensor failure. You should spin your towels as fast as you can, 1000 MINIMUM but 1400 or more is better. Did it ever work? Is it a new drier? Is it getting hot? 45 mins is a short time anyway to dry a full load of towels.

Dryer not heating very hot. need to run two cycles to dry

Hi,

Dryer is not drying properly, In order to resolve try following things.
  • Check the exhaust hood outside the house, does it open and close freely, Clean the lint filter and exhaust duct.
  • Do not overload, 1 wash load = 1 dryer load. Sort heavy items from lightweight items.
  • Large, bulky items like blankets or comforters may require repositioning to ensure even drying.
  • Check the washer to be sure it is draining properly to extract water from the load.
  • Clothes load is too small to tumble properly. Add a few towels.
I hope this will solve your problem.

Good luck and have a nice day.

I think the moisture sensor is bad in my kenmore he4 electric dryer. It works well on timed dry but does not stay on when using the automatic settings. It is still heating fine, it just stops prematurely...

it is a problem with how you are loading the unit. you must use the same type and weight of clothes or the sensor will think the light items are dry and then shut the unit off.
try to do a load of all towels and see what happens on the automatic cycle. if it does well then you just need to sort your clothes better.
the sensor is just 2 metal strips and will never fail.

Kenmore 110 60942990 dryer works but takes 3 hours to dry a load.

Venting. When elements or thermostats burn out it is almost always caused by venting restrictions. Vent is plugged with lint, smashed(usually from the dryer being pushed back to far) vent run is too long, or nylon stocking on vent outlet. Also check to see if you can pour water through your lint screen. Sometimes fabric softener builds up on the screen and restricts the air flow. Scrub your lint screen to get this build up off. My dryer takes much longer to dry loads now

Hi!

You need to check the following things to sort out the issue you are facing with--

Improper sorting •Separate heavy items from lightweight items (generally, to dry a well-sorted washer load is a well-sorted dryer load).
Large loads of heavy fabrics •Large, heavy fabrics contain more moisture and take (like beach towels) longer to dry. Separate large, heavy fabrics into smaller loads to speed drying time.
Controls improperly set •Match control settings to the load you are drying.
Lint filter is full •Clean lint filter before every load.
Improper or obstructed ducting •Check installation instructions for proper ducting/venting.
•Make sure ducting is clean, free of kinks and unobstructed.
•Check to see if outside wall damper operates easily.
•Check the Installation Instructions to make sure the dryer venting is correct.
Blown fuses or tripped •Replace fuses or reset circuit breakers. Since most dryers circuit breaker use 2 fuses/breakers, make sure both are operating.
Overloading/combining loads •Do not put more than one washer load in the dryer at a time.
Underloading •If you are drying only one or two items, add a few items to ensure proper tumbling.

Long drying times model #11062712100

Try this and let me know what happens.
TIP OF THE DAY
To reduce the suction draft and drying time your drier and save some cash, remove the lint catcher and take it to the sink. Run water into it, if there is excessive pooling of the water (water not running straight through) then fabric softener is fouling the lint screen. Use a small brush and dish detergent to clean it and then shake off all the water and dry the screen. Remember this tip on future driers and you will make the dryer blower motor last much longer.
