Why is my laptop crashing?

I would try getting the latest video card drivers first, if it is a Nvida card & it has recently updated itself, I would roll back the drivers, there has been a problem with the last update & my computer didn't like the upgrade & blue screened a lot, but was fine after I rolled them back in safe mode, if the problem if not repairable via software then go to a Laptop specialist, for what its worth I think its a software issue as you say its only when playing games, but im not an expert just well informed.

How to Run a Graphic Games without having Graphic Card.

Hello!<br />Greetings!<br />in this segment i am going to share a very usefull trick with you, when i was child i am used to spent my 3-4 hours daily on PC, playing games. i had a P4 which does not have any graphic card into my PC. i wonder that how to play those games like Prince of Persia, Tomb Rider, Call of Duty etc.<br />at that time it was not possible for me as i was very little for advance technical issues. but now here you can do the same.<br />go to the Web Site <br />http://www.filestube.com/3/3d+graphic+analyzer<br />download the 3D Analyser from the given link<br /><br />3D Analyzer sort of "Tricks" your system into thinking it has a Nvidia, or even ATI graphics card! Of course, your games and applications will run in the mode they usually will (with the default graphics and such). If you have an Intel like me, you can now play games like "Devil May Cry 3", "The Witcher", "<a href="http://rdhacker.blogspot.com/2008/08/resident-evil-5.html"><b>Resident Evil</b></a> 4" and or any new gen games which earlier demanded of graphics card.I played my Favorites using it and I m thoroughly satisfied with this tool. You can fiddle with various options to mess with it,and get different games to work with. <br />

I cant play 3d games

Try earlier versions of 3D games.
Your computer is a somewhat older model. So try playing 3D games released around 2000-2002.
Try NFS 6 or lower, GTA version 2, IGI 1 & 2 etc.
If even they don't work, try replacing the VGA card with a compatible but better VGA card (Cards from nVidia might be a good option).

I get a "beep" in the middle of gameplay on my HP D330

Hi, it,s possible that the game your running is crashing up, due to lack of system memory. this usually happens if for instance:- the graphics card or Ram can,t cope with the amount of charactors or pixels, needed to be displayed on the screen. check the games minimum system requirements are met for that specific game. also check that Direct X drivers are correctly installed. I have a packard bell easynote m10 notebook that when I play any 3d game the graphics become distorted after a few minutes of game play. I have download all driver updates and other updates from the...

M10 was a codename for the Radeon 9600, so you're good with that.

If everything worked right before, and you're getting artifacts, andyou have the latest drivers, and the game worked fine before, then thatdoesn't leave too much that I can think of. Typically, artifactshappen due to overheating/hardware issues. I used to get artifacts onan old dell of mine when I was playing around with overclocking my card.

You should check your machine to see if the fans/interior have built updust, especially since it's a few years old, and see if your fan is working properly. Try to keep your machinecool, and adjust graphics settings for performance over quality.

I was looking to see if Omega Drivers (http://www.omegadrivers.net/) would be compatible with your machine, and see if that would help, but I just can't be sure, as laptops are more finicky about unfamiliar drivers. It sounds like you're doing everything else right, but even the hardware can show it's age sometimes.
