The Port on the PS 3310 is called PictBridge. it is mostly used to connect Camera devices thru USB. It will not Read documents, you will have to try using an USB Adapter ( but not sure if that will work )
Kindly install the scanner software for printer..You just re install the driver software cd it will automatically install the missing components. Which is contains the hp director software. Which shows the scanning option For normal scanning you can choose the option of Scanners and Cameras wizard in control panel. But it is better if you have software disk of printer because it contains more option. Have a nice day and do not forget to rate please...!
This happens mainly when you try to scan from the printer ; Always try to scan from HP solution center but still here is the resolution: Open Hp Solution center Click on Settings Click on scn settings click on Scan to Setup Select all the option available to updrade the Front panel menu list and click on ADD Click on Update; Restart the computer and the printer and try to scan. It should resolve the issue.
This issue occurs when the digital imaging monitor is not running or the software is not installed properly.
This issue has nothing to do with the cartridges.
If the printer in connected in wireless, once check the communication between the computer and the printer and then disable the firewall and antivirus and try to scan again from the all-in-one. Also try to scan even from the HP solution center.
If the printer is connected via USB then try to scan from the HP solution center and then check the result, if the issue persists check whether the digital imaging monitor is running or not, then try to scan from scanners and camera wizard.
First of all, just use a USB cable, there not that expensive and it will be alot easier.
If you must use wireless. The laptop is trying to connect directly to the scanner or is there a print server somewhere, is there internet being used, is it connecting to another access point or wireless router?
Thes questions need clerifying.
Again. Wirless is supposed to be easy but we all know it isnt always true.
I would either Hardwire into the network or printer or connect direct to the scanner VIA USB.
