How to scan a slide on flatbed scanner

This model Canon MX700 cannot scan slides.
A flat bed scanner that can scan slides and negatives has a light scource that shines through the slide and negative fand is detected by the scanner sensor.
I suggest you purchase a slide scanner, it will be cheaper that getting a new flat bed scanner with slide capability.

Canon mp810 is not printing correctly

Brand new cartridge or refilled one? If refilled cartridge, just wait for 30 minutes after refilling and use good quality of ink. It's caused by bad ink flow. While ink spray (bubbling) form head, ink at ink tank not flow to head.

How do I remove the print head from my Canon MP810 printer for a clean? :o)

I just replaced my MP810 printer head. Procedure: open printer - remove ink cartridges - Pick up arm located on right side of cartridge holder- remove printer head by picking up by the cartridge slots. Place new printer head in holder - replace printer cartridges - press arm down and your done....However, the error message stays on and reset procedure doesn't remove it. Canon tech support said their solution (because of distance from canon support) is to replace MP810 with comparable printer, which came to $299 with 15% discount and free shipping. My solution, I’m checking out other printers.

Have error code 6B00

Follow these steps: start off removing the ink tank holder (held in place by the grey lever) and cleaning it with an alcohol solution and paper towel. When the ink tanks are not in use they slide to the right side and rest on a pad that collects excess ink. Mine was loaded up and gel like so I cleaned it as well.
With the ink tank removed  place your MP600 upside down on the table with a towel underneath to protect the lid, then gave it a few good hits on either side of the lower paper tray.

Hello - i have a Canon Pixma MP810 scanner/printer. i need to scan photo negatives as well as slides. there was no film/slide holder supplied w/ the machine. do you have the necessary film guide holder...

Did you look under the white foam protective cover on the underside of the lid, the one that looks like its sole purpose is to press documents flat against the glass? That's where the film guides are stored, believe it or not. See page 65 (of the file, page 63 as numbered on the pages themselves) of the manual here:

Transparency copy problem

The setting should go something like this- Colour reflective Black and white reflective Colour Negative. Colour Transparency. Black and white negative. Some scanners automatically sense and switch to what is loaded - others need setting up. So check thoroughly all the settings in conjunction with the manual[A full manual in PDF format is usually on the software disk. Then come back
