Hi thanks for your question. the problem with your fridgethethat the drain tube is clogged up. the drain goes down between the walls, down to the drip tray, at the bottom by the drain pan. to repair. . the fridge has to be turned off for at least 24 hrs. to thaw the ice in the drain tube. then using a small plasti, push small hose up the drain tube, the bottom at the drain tray. blow up the tube to clear. thanks the appliance doc. please rate my answer.thanks.

Water dripping inside KTLA22EMSS01

Your freezer actually cools your fridge. It sounds like you have ice build up in your freezer behind the back panel. You should be able to unscrew the back wall inside your freezer. A hair dryer should help defrost or keep it open for a few and use a screwdriver to remove the build up of ice. The ice has made its way down the vent and when it hits the fridge it is above 32 degrees so it is melting. Hope this helps. I manage rental properties and have had it happen on a few occasions.

Kitchen Aid KTRC22EK leak inside refridgerator

It sounds like the drain for the defrost water is pluged. You can remove the back panel inside the freezer(ice maker will have to coe out first) and access the drain in the rear center of the freezer. Check the drain. It can be defrsted with a hair dryer(shut off the referigerator first) good luck, snugglepants

Freezer works, fridge not cooling but water was leaking from under fridge a few weeks ago, could not find source . Small compact frigidaire unit for dorm room.

Most if not all fridges under $2000 only use a single compressor meaning the refrigeration is provided by venting the freezer air into the compartment. Water under the unit likely indicates the fridge is not properly sealing and moisture is condensing on the cold coils and dripping.

Water leaking from top to bottom

Refrigerators typically have vents for COLD freezer air to travel to the refrigerator side. Make sure you do not have these blocked with frozen foods, or ice. A good defrost of the freezer may be in order. (I just went through this one week ago).
If the cold air does not travel down to the fridge to keep it above dewpoint, moisture begins to form quickly.

Water is on the shelfs in the fridge for some time now and hen yo

Remove the control box from the ceiling of the ref section, (4) 1/4 inch screws. unclip the wire connector and gently pull forward and remove from refrigerator. On the ceiling you will find the drain for the freezer about 1/2 an inch wide and about 3-4 inces long. Use some silicone caulk to go around the drain. Whats happening is when the unit defrosts and drains the water is running along the ceiling and dripping onto the shelves, the silicone around the drain will make it drip into the drain cup and drain the way it is suppose to. also check the back of the panel previously removed to see if there is any thing blocking the drain tube. Also use a turkey baster to put water down the drain in the back wall of the refrigerator to make sure that is clear, you should hear it drain in the drain pan under the unit. there was a bulliten from frigidaire a few years back, you may want to check with a dealer or servicer. You can order a new ferrule, which is the drain tube from the freezer to the ref. however it is easier just to put the bead of silicone around it.

Water drips from evaporator fan channel Frigidaire FRT17G4B

It sounds as if this is a top mounted refrigerator. (freezer on top) If this is the case, check to see if you need to defrost the drain. You could also have a problem with the door seals. Remember the air coming out of the vent is freezer temp minus a few degrees. It could be that the moisture is condensing in that area.

Water dripping from top of fridge then freezing under crisper's

If the freezer is on top then empty out the freezer and remove the bottom and back liner of the freezer compartment usually phillips screws. In the back you will see the freezer coils along with a defrost element. Below these two items u will see a drip tray that collects water from the coils on defrost cycle, in the center of the pan will be a drain hole that connects to a hose that leads to a pan under the refrigerator.Normally the water is collected there and evaporated. The hole in the tray in the freezer is clogged. Thaw it and clean it until you can pour water in it and it goes to the pan down below. please rate me

Slow dripping water from top freezer into the main fridge

We just got rid of our 26 year old Kenmore for this reason. In 26 years I used a hair dryer to thaw out a tube toward the back of the refrigerator. At least in ours when the tube gets frozen shut the water had nowhere to go but in our egg tray.
