ANYONE KNOW WHY MY TOSHIBA SATELLITE L645 BECOME BLACK SCREEN BUT THE PROGRAM STILL RUNNING ?

you probably don't need a new screen it's probably your screen inverter that's going. It's just a small strip at the bottom of the screen wjth a little circuit board. If you google screen inverter and the make and model of your laptop you'll see what I mean.

Toshiba l645 bootstrap

The Windows operating sustem appears to be corrupted and most like to get a working computer you need to restore it back to the factore default condition.
Before you attemp to do this and to back up data, remove the hard disk from the Toshiba and connect this hard disk to an USB hard drive adapter, then plug this adapter into the USB port of a working computer. This computer will see this as an external storage device. You can then open the various folders on this drive and back up your data on this computer or an USB memory stick.
To restore your Toshiba, insert the hard disk back into the Toshiba and follow these instructions..
Restore Toshiba to Out of the Box Condition
If your model Toshiba laptop has a Restore partition on thehard drive then follow these steps to restore your Toshiba to the Out of theBox condition.
1. Press and hold the 0 (zero) key and at the same time, tap the power buttononce to switch on
your notebook.
2. When the machine Starts beeping; release the 0 key.
3. When prompted by the warning screen; select Yes to continue with the systemrecovery.
4. Select Recovery of Factory Default Software; click Next.
5. Select Recover to out-of-box state. 6. Click Next again.

I have Toshiba 14" Satellite L645 i5450 notebook

It is possible to connect a modem to the laptop. Connect the modem to the laptop using the telephone style socket on the laptop. The mother board will then pick this up and load the relevant drivers for your modem.
If you are not sure, contact Toshiba online. They are extremely helpfull.
Hope this helps.

Instantaneous shutdown of my Toshiba Satallite A105 Laptop

Hi Sam,

What operating system are you using ?

If you remember what time it last randomly shut down on you, use the system event viewer to see what errors were given just before it turned itself off. You can access the event viewer in Windows XP by clicking on the Start button, then click on Run, and in the box that pops up type in "eventvwr" and hit enter.

Click on system on the left hand side to view the log files of the system. Browse down until you find the time when your laptop turned off. Hopefully there is a series of errors there. They should be able to tell you something about why it is doing it.

Hope this helps, feel free to post some of the errors back here if you find any!

My 1805 is running slow.

It sounds as if you may have spyware of sorts running on your computer slowing it down, possibly a virus or just too many programs running in the background. What are you running as far as Anti-Virus and is that software current (up to date)? You can try some Free downloads to look for and remove that junk from your computer... we use www.superantispyware.com to fix and remove any spyware, malware, trojans, etc. from our PC's. Also, turn off as many programs running in the background as possible and make sure if your on a network (home or office) that is is secured. So that no one outside can piggy back off of you.
