I have a Firstline plasma FS4211HI that will not fire up. I plug it in, the light goes to blue but will not fire up.

Z-Sustain board should be suspected. If you are not familiar with electronics, do not attempt to repair. Whether you suffer fatal electrical shock! Instead, contact the nearest service center.

The pilot light comes on when control depressed but when it is released so it can be turned to a gas control it goes out. If the fire is lit successfully, it then goes out after approx 10 mins

if pilot is blue and torch like then the thermocouple is bad. if pilot is layz and yellow then it needs to be cleaned.remove pilot gas tube and clear orifice, looks like small thimble. reassemble and check tightness with soapy water when gas is flowing
