I set my phone to save pictures, sounds, and video to my SD card yet this keeps getting reset to instead save media to the phone's internal memory. I have noticed it most often happens after I have activated the camera - once I choose to save a picture I have just taken, the message flashes that it has been stored on the phone instead of the card. Then when I reopen the memory settings, I see that both the video and sound settings have also been reset to save to the phone. I keep having to switch this and my main reason for doing so is in the hopes that if something ever happens to the phone itself at least I will have a chance of saving my media by keeping it all on the card, which is why it's so annoying that some of it keeps getting set on the phone.
If you've taken out the SD card, than it will reset the settings because it can't save to a card that's not there.
but if it does that and the card is still in the phone, i'm sorry but i have no idea..
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

its not your phone kyocera system is having issues and they are trying to solve the problem. for now the only thing to try is master reset. make sure everything is saved to your sd card first because master rest will DELETE EVERYTHING. pictures automatically save to sd card
save contact to sd card: go to contacts hit options and export.. after master reset you will have to go back and option import.. you do not have to remove card before reset because there is an option for that
master rest: settings, devise resest, reset, make sure you scroll down and the sd card option is not checked off, then "erase everything"
this is as far as i have gotten i dont know what kyocera does if the problem continues
Can you describe in more detail what you are trying to do, step by step, and how the process is failing?
I have uploaded and downloaded pictures from my micro-SD card, both while it is in the phone, using a USB cable and setting the phone to "Menu | Settings & Tools | Tools | USB Mass Storage". Then the phone and the micro-SD card appear on my (Windows) computer as a removable drive, and I can just copy files in either direction.
I am also able to remove the micro-SD card, and plug it into an SD-card slot on my computer (with a micro-to-SD card adapter), and it mounts as a removable drive that way, too.
Note: if you have the micro-SD card in the phone, and you want the pictures you take to be stored on there so you can download them in one of the ways I've described above, then be sure to go into "Menu | Settings & Tools | 9. Memory | 1. Save Options | 1. Pictures" and set this option to "Card Memory", or else your pictures will get saved in the camera internal memory, and not on the card. This may be your problem if you are not seeing the pictures you expect on your memory card when you look for them. If you take Videos and/or Sounds, you might want to set those "Save Option" to the Card Memory, too.
i was having the same problem and i went to settings then to sd card and clicked on Unmount SD card and i took out the sd card, then placed it back into my phone and now i can take pictures and video :]
If you inserted your sd card corectly, you should be able to save items to it as long as it is not a defective unit. Do the following:
1) From the Home Screen Menu, go to Settings, then Options, and scroll down to Media Card and choose it with the trackball.
2) From there you will see the Media Card configuration options which allow you to set the Media Card Support, as well as the Mass Storage Support option. Also, you will be able to confirm from this screen if the phone is recognizing the presence of your sd card. Hope this helps.
1st - Place the SD card in the phone. 2nd - Adjust the setting to save Pictures, Video, Music to the SD card by going to Settings and tools > Memory > Save Options. 3rd. Remove the SD card from the phone and connect to PC. Now on the PC you will see the phone has created folders for you "Music". 4th - Drag your music files into the correct folders (ie music, pictures, etc). 5th Place SD card back in LG Envy 2 and enjoy the music.

I just gave up one of these for other reasons. I stopped having memory problems when I purchased and inserted an SD card to store extra data on. When I first inserted it, it told me there wasn't enough memory to even load the driver for the SD card. I imagine you will have the same problem. I solved it by deleting a bunch of pictures and email and then doing a soft reset on the phone. Once I that was done, the SD card loaded and the email program automatically started saving attachments to the card instead of the internal memory. Make sure you set the options for pictures to save on the card if you use the camera.
Wow. Some of you are retards, sorry, but you don't know how this phone works. A) Auto-Save if for SENT messages only. If it is on, it will save your sent message in the sent box. if set to off, then it will not show any sent messages. If set to prompt, then it will ask you after the message is successfully sent from your phone to the Verizon network. B) Auto-erase is for INBOX only. It will automatically erase the last message in your inbox when it reaches it's max capacity. C) The LG EnV can accept up to 4GB of memory. (hollowtech2, you are the ****** i mentioned above, don't pur information you have not confirmed. people will dissprove you, and you will be embarrassed.) D) i am still looking to solve the text messgae save limit problem. i will post it when i find out.
