Question about Vizio P2 42 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television
Had the Vizio TV on when weather caused a sudden lose of power. TV now does not show any power indications, lights etc....just dead. I checked the voltage on both sides of the fuse on the power supply board and measures 110v. Fused tested okay. I attempted to measure the output voltage of 5 and 12 volts for connectors to other main boards and it didn't register any voltage. Not sure I did this correctly. I set meter on 50v DC and grounded one lead and touched red lead on the connector pins. Nothing. I've read the power supply board and main board are common replacements. Is there an easy test to determine problem on model L42HDTV10A? I'm thinking about replacing the power supply board as this is cheaper than main board.

Yeah if you don't have any power at all, no lights or anything its the power supply.
