Question about Apple iPod MA446LL/A MP3 Player

IPod Troubles Hello! My iPod fell into the pool a month ago, I didn't turn it on and I let it dry for 2 weeks, when I tried to turn it on, it didn't work, I plugged it in to charge and it made a short squeal and nothing happened. Then yesterday I plugged it into my computer and it made this loud screeching sound as long as the cable was connected, but no screen image or computer recognition of the ipod. Is there ANY way that I can backup the music from this iPod from the HD, I don't mind building a cable or whatnot, but I am a little short on cash right now and I don't want to get it serviced or buy a new one. Thanks for your help!

You could try removing the hdd
But you would have to build a compatible cord to set the hdd up with your ide pc

I have no idea how, but i know that it will work theoretically

Unless your ipods hdd is damaged by water, which could be liekly.
Thanks

Just had my Hayward Tristar 2-spd pump/motor replaced a month ago. I've been running it on high speed for about 3 weeks because my control pad went out and I couldn't get it to run on low speed. ...

running the pump on high speed will not have caused the problem, they are meant to run 3,450 rpm's continually. It's more than likely a supply power problem like you mentioned. Check GFI's, and breakers to see if anything has tripped.

My Sony DSC-T77 fell in the water 2 days ago. What will i do? Is there a possibility that it would still work? Pls help. Thanks

DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ON! Remove the card and battery....try to dry out those compartments. Bury the camera in a bowl of uncooked rice for one week. Insert the battery and, with fingers crossed, try to turn it on. Even if it works, you may still have a problem with a haze over the lens elements when the water dried. You didn't say if the water was fresh or salt. If it was saltwater, the salt will continue to corrode the internal circuits of the camera.

We have a canon elph. it fell into the dog's water bowl, my husband quickly fished it out. we took out all the components and dried it. i think we have both tried to turn it on. it's not looking too good....

If water got inside and you tried to turn it on, you risk frying the circuits. Bury the camera in a bowl of uncooked rice for a week, keep your fingers crossed, and try to turn it on.

Karcher fell into pool. Will drying help?

I would blow it out with compressed air and let it dry for a week or so and give it a try. There is a fairly good chance it'll still work.

My blackberry world fell in water quickly

Same trouble with my Curve a few months ago. You are likely going to have to get a replacement.

Once the damage is done, it's done. For future reference, the longer you can afford to let it dry out (a week or more even), the better chance it will work and keep working.

Hello Carlos,

The touch screen is broken. You can find the replacement part here:

You will have to provide the part number at the back of the screen.

Repair ipod

If the iPod was on, and fell in the pool, then probably not. If it wasn't I would let it dry out, use a hairdryer and blow the water out through the cracks (and headphone and docking jack) and let it sit for a few days. Try to use it then. Since the warranty doesn't cover it, i'm sorry if it won't work.
