Question about Singer 5050 Mechanical Sewing Machine
When i am sewing it is slowing down even if i have the pedel pushed all the way down what could the problem be it is just started doing this. Is their something i can do myself i do not have manual
Either the machine needs to be oiled or the motor is going bad.Remove the covers and place a drop of oil anyplace that moves and rubs.( The ends of each shaft, the bobbin case area. The needle bar and the joints that allow it to move) Those kinds of places. Also look for thread that may be wrapped around a moving part and remove it.
Check the motor by loosening the handwheel clutch(as though you were going to wind a bobbin) and see if the motor still runs slowly when it is not turning the machine.
