Yes I'm using teh software I normally only record things on A so up until know never had problems. This is the first time I've recorded something in Folder B. I've done what I normally do and all files from A get trnasfer but nothing from B. A bit frustrating.

  • galgis Oct 08, 2008

Thank you very much for your response. The file is indeed in File B I just can't open it or have access to it. let alone listen to it.

I as well have this problem. If I transfer files from B into A after erasing folder A to make room within the recorder itself I can transfer it and play on computer. This is frustrating because there's going to come a time when I'm not going to be able to do this. PLEASE HELP with solution.

I tried moving the file from Folder B to A, C, and D, and it still won't transfer.

This is what I already do, but I want a solution to where I don't have to do that. The field of work I'm going into is not going to give me the option of erasing files in folder A to make room for transferring recordings in folder B or C into A so I can download them within the computer as needed.

You can also move to another folder and that may work.

1 Choose the file you want to transfer and press the PLAY button
to play it.
2 Press and hold the MENU button for 1 second or longer
while the file is playing.
3 Press the + or - button to choose a destination folder.
4 Press the PLAY button.

All files should be set for transfer when using the Olympus software.  There is a way you can check folder B in my computer by locating the program folder where the olympus software resides.  If folder B is empty, the recording could have landed in A, C, or D folder.

What I do transfer of email files?

When Outlook saves items to your computer, it uses a type of data file called an Outlook Personal Folders file (.pst) (Personal Folders file (.pst): Data file that stores your messages and other items on your computer. You can assign a .pst file to be the default delivery location for e-mail messages. You can use a .pst to organize and back up items for safekeeping.). If you are using a Microsoft Exchange Server account, your items are usually delivered to and saved on the mail server. To allow you to work with your messages even when you cannot connect to the mail server, Outlook offers Offline Folders, which are saved in another type of data file called an Offline Folder file (.ost) (Offline Folder file: The file on your hard disk that contains offline folders. The offline folder file has an .ost extension. You can create it automatically when you set up Outlook or when you first make a folder available offline.) on your computer.

The primary distinctions between the two types of Outlook data files are:

The Outlook .ost files are used only when you have an Exchange Server account and choose to work offline or use Cached Exchange Mode.
The Outlook .pst files are used for POP3 (POP3: A common protocol that is used to retrieve e-mail messages from an Internet e-mail server.), IMAP (IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol): Unlike Internet e-mail protocols such as POP3, IMAP creates folders on a server to store/organize messages for retrieval by other computers. You can read message headers only and select which messages to download.), and HTTP accounts. When you want to create archives or back up your Outlook folders and items on your computer, including Exchange Server accounts, you must create and use additional .pst files.

I just upgraded from the recorder free app to recorder pro and need to transfer recordings from recorder free to my computer. The only problem is that recorder pro doesn't recognize their presence and thus...

Hey, I had a similar problem with you. I only wanted to transfer my file to the computer so I link my Iphone with the PC and if you click your Iphone on Itunes and go to apps you can see recorder there. You can transfer your files directly to your PC and you can open the files using Itunes or Quicktime.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 250, when I start the unit it displays "no detailed maps found that support routing". I have checked the drive and it has over 1.3 Gb used. I used the unit last weekend but it doesn't...

The "No Detailed Maps Found That Support Routing" message may appear on your device for the following reasons:
  • The GPS device is missing it's unlock code
  • The maps on the GPS device have been disabled
To determine the cause of the message, touch the screen until the message "No Detailed Maps Found That Support Routing" disappears.
  • If you see a "Can't Unlock Maps" message following this error, remove any microSD / SD cards in the device and follow the instructions below for Retrieving your unlock codes followed by the instructions for Creating an unlock file
  • If you do not get the Can't Unlock Maps message then skip to the instructions for Enabling maps on the GPS device
To retrieve unlock codes you need to have registered your satnav. If you haven't already done so connect your satnav to the computer. Go to https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/customers/myGarminHome.faces and click Register your Garmin product. Follow the prompts. You'll have to create a username and password. Lost time/inaccessible files on flip

This may sound risky, but I did this and my Camera is working perfectly again... If you don't have any videos on it you need to salvage too badly this should do the trick.

1) Plug it in (obviously)
2) Go to My Computer and right click your video camera
3) Click Format
4) I clicked restore device defaults because it sounded safe (but may not be necessary)
5) Click start and begin the reformatting

After this i went from my incorrect 27:11 min. remaining on the camera to the full 60. Still records perfectly and the software is still on it and works correctly. Hope it helps some of you out there =)
