Problem with remotes for our zenith e44w46lcd tv

It could be that the main board or the remote reciever is bad on the TV. The best thing to do at this point is to have a technician verify which one is causing the issue. Otheriwise it would be an expensive gamble to replace both boards. Please take a moment to rate my answer. Thanks..

Model ws-55711, remote doesn't work but I don't believe it is the remote control, can only change station up or down manually, cannot adjust volume or others manually...

If you can change channels with remote then TV is OK because it has only one infra red receiver (remote receiver) to catch remote signals.
So TV remote seems bad as it works on channel buttons only.
Here is an easy test for remote, watch remote front through any digital camera or even cellular phone camera will work and press channel button on remote, you will see blinking LED at front of remote while watching it through camera. Now press other buttons of remote and I'm sure that LED wont blink.

When I adjust the volume on the remote control it changes the channel, but not on every occasion.

Hey,
This could be due to the accumulation of dust inside the remote control. You can try to open up the controller and just clean it up.
Thanks

I have a new TV Model 47PFL3603D/F7 and am hooked up to comcast digital box and cannot figure out how to get my comcast remote to regulate the volume. I have the set on channel 3 and everything works...

Usually on a universal remote (after programmed) the volume is controlled by pressing the cable button then adjusting the volume. When you turn your tv on by pressing tv power---then flipping through the channels by pressing cable--channel up or down. The remote (in my experience usually only controls the volume while in the cable mode)

My remote control for my Zenith Television Model Z27X229 will adjust the volume, but it will not change the channel. I have changed batteries, but that didn't help. Do I need a new remote control? If...

The simplest solution would be to buy a new remote for testing purposes. I own a One-for-All universal remote (model URC-4220), which I bought at Walmart, for less than 10 dollars. It is compatible with Zenith TVs. (You can return it later, if necessary).
If the channel-changing problem is not resolved with your new remote, then you will know for sure there is a defect in your TV, which requires the expertise of a repairman.

Menu will not display

If the channel and volume visual display was not set up on the menu to display on screen , neither will show up even if either the remote or set front button are used. Make sure that the tv button is selected on the remote to access the menu .If that does not work ,then either the batteries are dead or the remote is dead.If it is you will need a new remote, sadly. Then you can press the m button , select sound and then select "display volume" and check "during adjustment". The channel display settings are found on "features" from the main menu. Hope this helps.
