Can I get windows 7 drivers for my DPP FP30? Just changed to W7 and it looks like my precious printer won't work any more!!

Install the drivers in XP or Vista compatibility mode.

Insert the setup disk in your CD/DVD drive. Choose to view the files in Explorer.

Scroll down to the file "Setup," which is identified as an application.

Right-click the file and select "Properties." Click the "Compatibility" tab at the top of the resulting window.

Check off "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and choose "Windows Vista" or "Windows XP Service Pack 3" from the pop-up menu.

ALSO check "Run this program as administrator" at the bottom of the window.

Press "Apply," then "OK."

Now you can double-click the "Setup" file and run the software installer.

I want driver of shro am-400 for win vista plz do needfull

Hi there,

Well sorrsy to say but there is no win vista driver's for this model, anyway there is a way to use windows xp drivers in windows vista, follow the below steps -
1. Click the "Start" menu in the lower left-hand corner of the Windows Vista screen.
2. Select "Run" from the Start menu.
3. Type "msconfic" in the Run box. Click "OK." A window will appear that lists all of the programs scheduled to run when Windows Vista is turned on. Uncheck all unessential software programs. Be sure to leave critical programs checked, such as antivirus and firewall programs. Click "OK."
4. Click the "Start" menu and select "Restart" to reboot the computer.
5. Open "My Computer" (located in the Start menu or on the Vista desktop).
6. Double-click the "C:\\" drive. Find the installation directory for the Windows XP program or device that you wish to run in Windows Vista. The installation directory is usually given the name of the program, the program's manufacturer, or a shortened version of either of these two options.
7. Right-click the program or driver. Select the "Properties" option in the pop-up menu that appears.
8. Click the "Compatibility" tab in the window that appears. Check the box next to the heading that reads, "Run this program in compatibility mode." In the drop-down menu, select "Windows XP." Click "OK" to close the window. The program or driver will now operate in Windows Vista in Windows XP compatibility mode, allowing the driver to function as it did in Windows XP. Note that the Windows XP driver will not be able to take advantage of any of the new features in Windows Vista while it is running in compatibility mode. Cant configure HP 5550 printer with a Vista-based PC

As per the HP Website:

A full feature software and driverpackage for Windows Vista is not available for your product. However, the Windows Vista operating system installed on your computer containsa basic driver solution for your product. Withthe basic driver, the buttons on the product do not function and someof the advanced product features are not available. But you can stillprint, scan, and import and view images on a memory card, using theworkaround procedures in this document. Usethe following instructions to install the basic driver in WindowsVista, and then review the workaround procedures to use the availablefeatures for your product.
When you connect the product to the computer, Windows Vista detects thehardware and automatically installs the correct driver. A notificationlets you know when installation begins and when it is complete. You do not have to download any software or insert the product CD.

Lexmark won't work with vista

First, Vista has it's own drivers and will assign it's own to your printer when you plug it in. This method will not work with many external devices. Completely disconnect the printer. Then install the lexmark driver. A window will pop up saying that the software being loaded is not approved by windows. Click install anyway. The software will instruct you when it is ok to connect the printer. You may have to go into the printer and faxes (control panel) and delete the current default printer.

Just one of the joys of having Vista

I recently had Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional installed on my computer, will I be able to re-install Microtek Scanmaker X6 Scanner? If so, can you explain just how to do it...I'm an old man and need...

Congratulations, you just installed one of the best and more stable windows systems in your PC.
About your scanner, download the driver from here: ScanMaker and run the executable file. Its a Windows Millenium driver, not 2000 so it may have some problem with the Operating system because it wasn't designed to run in windows 2000.
Install the driver and tell us if your scanner worked ok!.

Lexmark z11 Vista Compatible?

Looks like I've cracked it [Touches wooden desk]. Need a USB to IEEE 1284 36-pin Parallel Printer Cable, like the one I received today (ordered yesterday from www.cables2u.co.uk). First, connect it to Z11. Turn on Z11 and boot up Vista PC/laptop. (I run Vista Business on my laptop.) Connect cable to computer. Message appears "Installing device driver software". Click it for status. 'Found New Hardware' box appears. Click 'Locate and install driver software'. A message appears "Error loading LXADSUI.DLL. Specified module could not be found". Click 'OK'. Message appears saying driver software installed successfully. ["Yeah, right ..."] (Have faith, folks!) Now, click Start, then Control Panel and double-click Printers. Right click on Z11 and click on Set As Default Printer. Right click on Z11 again and click on Properties. Check on Ports tab that Port USB is ticked for Z11. On Cartridge Maintenance tab, check right cartridge is showing. If not, click 'Install/Change Cartridge' and follow instructions. Then 'Clean Print Nozzles' and 'Align Cartridges'. Check settings on the other tabs in Properties look OK and try printing a test page! It looks good to me!
