Question about Hitachi Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a 42" Ultravision TV, and suddenly every thing has gone green, and the reds have gone. I've rebooted the cable system a few times, and it's still green. My other TV is fine, so I'm guessing it's something to do with the Hitachi one. Any ideas?

Color in tv is very green you cant tell what suppose to be what i was watching cartoons with kids and the animal that suppose to be red was black i tried adjusting color temp and every thing even resetting...

If your using a tuner for your TV channels and you are using component video cables make sure that the red cable is not plugged into the audio socket. red blue and green cables should all be plugged into the "component" input on the tv not audio.

I cannot get a new samsung bluray disc player toconnect to my hit

HDMI is the current digital standard for interfaces, but component (Red, Blue, Green) still gives a good method for passing HD. The only thing you might be giving up is some control functions. Use a good quaility RGB cable if this is the route you choose.

Can't connect VCR

Connect your 211 to the DVD with component cables, and the DVD to the TV also with component cables. That will enable you to record from the 211 to the DVD, and also watch from the DVD to the TV.
Now, connect the 211 (the 211 will output to both the component and the HDMI at the same time) directly to the TV with your DVI-HDMI cable. Naturally you'll have to complete your connections for sound following the same idea.
Now using the different inputs on your TV, you can source from the 211 or the DVD, and be able to use the DVD to record as well.--------------OR TRY THIS WAY----------DVDVCR needs to use rca (yellow/white/red) plugs as input. Your TV has outputs for that (tv out/ audio out), that will enable your to tape shows from the TV. That's the first connection.
Then connect the green/blue/red outs of the DVD/VCR to the respective in's of the TV. OK, that unit is done.
Now, the 211 to the TV. Using your HDMI to DVI cable (which only provides video as you noted) connect the 211 to the TV.
Now, the audio from the 211 to the TV we can connect.... no way. The answer is that you are going to have to split the red and white plugs from the 211 to the TV and VCR inputs, that's the only way I can see.

LG 42 LCD no sound or picture

Did anyone find out the solution for this??????? I have the exact same problem with my LG 32 LCD. I only had it for a year and a half, and the green light blinks a few times and it shows no picture. Not even a red light when the tv is off. The same thing happened a couple weeks ago and by some miracle it started working again.

Too much green color

Problem solved. I tried playing DVD and the TV picture was fine. So I double-checked cable wires from cable box - one of the wires was loose (obviously it was the red color input). After tightening, the TV picture is good as new.
