I don't have a problem, I would like to know if it is possible to purchase parts for the toastmaster #287 waffle iron? We have a toastermaster#287 & we love it. I took it apart, cleaned it inside & outside. Now I would like to repair it for my wife, bcause she loves the iron. She dropped it & now I'd like to repair it. Thank you for your help. I bought the waffle iron at a church thrift shop and there wasn't a manual or recipes

Hello Anyduckfood,

I understand that you purchased a Waffle Iron at a church thrift shop you did not receive the directions or any type of recipes for the unit.

Most waffle irons are set up to cook a waffle in one minute. They take a few minutes to heat up like about 5 and then you may cook with them. You generally use a nonstick spray (pan, etc) then put your batter on the lower griddle and close the upper griddle. The batter will expand to the upper griddle and make the shape of your waffle iron.

Recipes: there are many different places that you can find waffle recipes, here are a few links to recipes
to find more waffle recipes just type "Waffle Recipes" in a search engine of your choice and you will probable by amazed at how many different recipes there are.

Thank you for choosing

Sticking is a real problem no matter how well I season the plates, impossible to remove waffle on one piece

Putting cooking oil in the batter will help some. Use Pam (or similar) to help keep the waffles from sticking. Spray the bottom plate, add the batter, spray the top plate and close. I'm not sure why, but the first waffle is never as good as the ones after it. But this always works for us.

Hope this helps,

I have a B&D iron. Plugged it in, and orange light by the cord lit up indicating a connection, but when I depressed the button that adjusts the heat level, the "window" stayed dark and is not...

The circuit board inthe iron has gone bad.... not sure if it is replaceable or not but if you look up the model number of the iron and parts for it you may be able to find out if the part is replaceable and available...

Here is a tip that will help you with the online buying...

Manual for Toastmaster Bread machine

Start here... :

Note your model number......

Then call this number and ask where to get a manual:
(Toastmaster is part of Russell Hobbs)

Any websites previously having manuals for e-salton (Owned Toastmaster in the past) are not working.

There used to be a link off of for mauals but I did not see it today and nothing made by Toastmaster is listed.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

I have a manning bowman coffee percolator and the fuse is blown. Where can I get replacement fuses?

I couldn't find a replacement fuse for my Manning-Bowman coffee maker, so I repaired it. The fuse consists of three parts: the square end pieces and a rectangular connecting piece between them. (They all look like brass.) They're soldered together, and when the pot gets too hot (as it did when I plugged it in before adding water), the solder melts and the connecting piece drops out, shutting off the pot.
To repair the fuse, you'll need solder, a soldering iron, flux, and a small brush. You can get these supplies at a stained glass hobby shop. Leave the end pieces in place and put the connecting piece between them. Brush a little flux on the pieces, heat the solder and put a bead between the connecting piece and each end piece. Let cool and clean it.

We made waffles this morning and the waffle stuck to both sides and split down the middle. It never did this before. What's going on?

I don't know what model you have but it most likely has a non-stick surface. This only lasts for a certain time before it wears off. Do you use oil or butter on the surfaces? Also, did the waffles turn out alright the last time you used it? If they were fine the last time try making the batter once more and make sure you follow the recipe exactly as it was made the last time it was successful.
Let me know what the outcome is.
Best wishes,
