Go to "Printers and Faxes" in the start menu. Then right click on your printer and click on properties. Then click on the tab called Maintenance. There should be a button to align the print heads. Make sure the printer is on and paper is in the tray before trying to align the print heads.

I purchased ink that stated that it was compatible with my R220. It worked fine for a short while and then I got a message that the cartridges were "not compatible" and it stopped printing. I...

possibly because you bought non-original cartridge (it does not recognize the printer). Try to mount the old ones again and see if you recognize the same message persists imprimanta.Daca ignorance of cartridges means that problem is another possible carrier on the outer cartusele. If with the old cartdriges you have another message then it is a problem with the new purchased cartdriges and should replace them

Have all-in-one HP 7130. get error message stating alignment failed. Problem started after I replaced cartridge ink.

Whenever you replace inks it will want to do alignment. Before installing new inks you should dab the bottom gently on a damp paper towel and see that all colors make a stripe on the towel. If any colors are missing during alignment it will always fail.

My printer is not printing..page comes out blank. inside, all the lights are flashing on the ink cartridges...any ideas what's wrong? thanks

this message means that the cartdriges are empty...
if you have bought new cardridges and lights still flash then the printer just dont recognize them right.
possible cause 1:
dirty cartdrige (or printhead) chip contacts > clean them with alcohol and cotton (switch printer off first).
see the chips in this photo:
https://secure.datatekusa.com/images/canon%20PGI5.CLI8%20refillable%20cartridge.jpg

possible cause 2:
bad printer controller: the chip in the printer that communicates with the cartdriges is gone mad... take the printer to service...

all the above are valid assuming you bought original cartdriges if not then do so...

Keep getting replace yellow ink cartridge error message

Hi,

Where did you get the error message on printer or computer?

If you get the message on printer remove all cartridges and reinsert the cartridges and align the ink cartridges. If the alignment page prints successfully then the problem is resolved.

If you get the message on the computer disconnect the usb from computer. uninstall the software and reinstall the full feature software by selecting connect USB later.

I have replaced my black ink cartrige and the printer continues to ask me to replace it.

did you follow the instrutions on resetting the ink sensor. There is a certain way you have to tape over a piece until in is in place and the pull the tape out. There should be instructions on how to do this in your ink cartdrige box.
There also show be a button you can click on the computer that tells it to print an alignment pae to confirm th cartdrige is in place.
