Why do i shake ?

I would recommend seeking a neurological evaluation since there are a number of conditions, including Parkinson's disease, that could be responsible. Another possible cause is a disorder called "essential tremor", which is common among older adults and occurs 20 times more often than Parkinson's disease. Unlike Parkinson's, essential tremor isn't due to an underlying disease and doesn't lead to serious complications. The beta blockers you were prescribed often are used for treatment of this condition but work only in 50 percent of all cases. Shaky hands also could be due to anxiety, but to reach this diagnosis, a physician must first rule out physical causes. In addition to essential tremor and Parkinson's, shaky hands may be caused by thyroid disease, drug side effects or heavy metal poisoning.
Sometimes the nature of symptoms suggests the diagnosis. For example, essential tremor usually is seen when you are using your hands, while the tremor associated with Parkinson's typically occurs when your hands are at rest.
Treatment will depend on your diagnosis. In addition to beta blockers, a number of drugs are used to treat essential tremor. They include anti-seizure medications, tranquilizers, drugs used to treat glaucoma, and Botox. If no physical cause is found, your physician may attribute your shaky hands to anxiety. If so, relaxation techniques such as breathing exercises may be helpful. You may also want to experiment with acupuncture, which I've seen control this condition or lessen the severity of it in some patients. You can also take the following steps to relieve or reduce shaky hands:
  • Avoid caffeine, which can trigger production of adrenaline, a hormone that can worsen tremors.
  • Avoid alcohol, which has pronounced effects on the central nervous system and can aggravate essential tremor.
  • Exercise with light hand weights that can promote stability in the hands and wrists. Ask your physician to recommend a physical therapist who can teach you the exercises.

I am very into alternative treatments and I wanted to know if there are any essential oils that can help reduce snoring? My daughter is about to divorce her husband over this issue!! She is going crazy...

Partners of serious snorers sometimes really suffer from sleep deprivation and it can have a big impact on relationships.

If you want to give essential oils a try, you can buy concentrated menthol oil which you can mix with water in a 50/50 ratio. Spray it around your pillow every night.

Mint and eucalyptus are also worth a try.

What fruits are bad for my cat?

Any food not specifically designed for cats can affect the digestive system, causing vomiting, diarrhea, or loss of appetite. Here are some foods of particular concern:
  • Alcohol can cause severe liver and brain damage. As little as a tablespoon can lead to problems for your cat.
  • Chocolate contains theobromine. It is in all forms of chocolate, and most concentrated in dark chocolate and unsweetened cooking chocolate. Chocolate ingestion can cause heart problems, muscle tremors, or seizures. Chocolate also contains caffeine.
  • Coffee, Tea, Energy Drinks. These contain caffeine that can cause your cat to become restless, have rapid breathing, heart palpitations and muscle tremors.
  • Dairy Products. Some cats are lactose intolerant and if they eat dairy products it can cause vomiting and diarrhea.
  • Fat Trimmings, Raw Meat, Raw Eggs, Raw Fish. Can cause vomiting, diarrhoea or a painful condition called pancreatitis (from excessive fat) and there is a risk of Salmonella or E. coli associated with these foods.
  • Grapes and Raisins. Cats are less likely to eat these so cases are rare however, dogs can suffer acute kidney failure from eating grapes or raisins, so it is best to not to risk your cat's health and not let him eat these foods.
  • Onions and Garlic. All members of the onion family can cause problems if eaten in sufficient quantity. A little bit of onion or garlic in some sauce is not likely to cause any problems. However, eating a clove of garlic or a green onion may cause digestive upset. Eating some type of onion on a regular basis could cause anemia.
  • Xylitol. This is a sweetener used in a lot of sugar-free foods, especially chewing gum. There are no records of cats becoming ill from this product, but in dogs it can cause a severe drop in blood sugar (which can cause seizures/convulsions or even *****) followed by liver failure. Therefore it is better to be safe and not let your cat eat foods that contain this ingredient.

I suffer from arthritis. Would sleeping on a waterbed help me?

There are many sites supporting the use of waterbeds for people suffering with arthritis. Essentially, waterbeds help even out the distribution of your body weight, reducing pressure on your joints. The heat from waterbeds will also help to properly circulate your blood, consequently reducing pain.

Dont know what i need to install this stuff

Hello bighollywood,

To install the head unit without cutting or tapping into the vehicle wiring, you'll need a "wiring harness". The Metra 70-1782 here seems to be the one for your '96 Prizm.

For the sub(s), you'll need an amp and a wiring kit. My recommendation would be the Alpine MRP-M1000. It's currently on sale at Crutchfield for $347. Shipping is included and you'll also get an "installation guide" to help with the wiring. The M1000 requires 4gauge power and ground.

Hope this helps.
