LCD Screen I have the Canon Digital Rebel XT /EOS EFS 18-55mm camera and can't seem to figure out how to turn the LCD screen on to view what I am taking a picture of. Can you please let me know how to do this? Thank you very much!

How do u get the LCD screen to act as a viewfinder? I want the LCD screen to act as the eye view finder and cand seem to figure out how to activate it

To do that, you need a camera with "live view". Does your camera have that?

You need live view to see the subject on the screen. Does your camera model have it?

Dropped canon rebel eos

Try this...remove the card and battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on. Let me know what happened.

I have a canon eos rebel xt i just took pics with the timer and when i tried to do it a third time nothing happented so i tried to take a picture and when i press the button to take the photo nothing...

Go into the menu and find "reset"...follow the on-screen instructions.

How can you use the LCD screen in lieu of looking through the view finder to take pictures. This is for a Canon EOS Rebel XT.

Im afraid your camera does not have live view so therefore you will have to use the viewfinder to take your images and view them back on the lcd screen.

View screen on back

The XT does not have a "live view" feature. You have to use the viewfinder.
The LCD is strictly for data and picture viewing.

Cant be done you need the new 450d which has live view so you view the lcd when taking the picture

Hi

The others are correct, your camera does not have 'Live View' so you cannot see what you are taking a picture of before you take the picture.

Only recently did digital SLR cameras get the ability to see through the lens on the LCD screen live. I think it may have been Olympus with the first? I could be wrong, doesnt matter. =)
