Question about Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse

My computer will not go into standby mode when I'M using MS Notebook Optical Mouse 3000. I use WinXP.

My computer, running WinXP, AMD64 processor, won't go intop standby mode when I use a Windows Notebook Optical Mouse 3000. It works properly using a different wireless mouse.

Cuse mouse dontlike standy by mode sum mouses cant do it unless u manaual config deep inside windows to make it under vista avacaed powerr ocntrols xp ect if avb u do not wnan sleep a not book u wann shut it down never sleep a notboook over night always shut down use on hard surface ok or else heat kill it

Erratic behavior of MS wireless optical mouse


Your wireless mouse the battery might be low, change the battery and go to control panel and click the mouse icon, and adjust the right mouse speed setting.

Microsoft Wireless Notebook Op. Mouse 3000 Dosent work.


try plugging the usb adapter into a different usb port of the computer and there must be a connect button on tat adapter..press the connect button on tat aadapter and then press the connect button on the mouse {after replacing the battery}.if it doesnt work on 1st go ,,try 2-3 times,,,and hey best of luck

Go into control panel>mouse>click on the wheel tab. There should be a number, for the number of lines you want to scroll with each turn, in the vertical and horizonal scrolling.

MS optical mouse 3000. How do I remove the cover to get at the circuit board?


Sorry friend, there really no way to open that kind of mouse..the only way is to crack the shell. It don't have screws or hidden releases. Also note that there is also no way to turn it off… Its better to buy USB optical mouse for full satisfaction. Hope it help

Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Mouse Receiver from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the Mouse Receiver to the USB port, do so and it should work.

Microsoft 4000 optical mouse


Try this - Go to control panel > mouse > hardware tab > properties > power management tab
Make sure the entry "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby" is checked.

If you meant that your screen saver doesnt come on because the mouse is plugged in, it could be because the surface on which your mouse is rested is uneven or extremely smooth, causing the mouse to move, or that the mouse sensitivity properties are set very high. When not in use, try placing the mouse on a piece of dark cloth and see if this helps. Or in the steps mentioned above, make sure "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby" is UNchecked. Note that you cannot use the mouse to get out of screen saver mode in this option. you will have to tap the spacebar..

MS Optical Mouse 4000 problem; computer mouse pad no longer functional


Normal 0 Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start flashing.
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver.
