Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5100 All-In-One Printer

Replacing printhead... Was having problems with the printer...checked with your support, advised that it sounded like a problem with the printhead...New printhead shipped, with information that it would come with instructions for making the change-out. What I got was a note directing me to go to your website for insturctions on how to replace. Thats what I'm doing now....How 'bout it?? Bob

My solution is never to buy a Kodak printer. I'm trying to replace a printhead and cannot find directions anywhere.

Does not print yellow


Sounds like a severely blocked or defective printhead.Sadly head cleans are the only way of resolving such an issue.

As you have already tried this I would recommend giving Brother a call so they can advise or replace/repair the printer (if in warranty).

My printer will only print in color, I have replaced the black cartridge and it still will not print in black


It sounds as if the black nozzle of your printhead is dried or blocked. I would advise printing printing a test page like this one to clarify the cause.

Assumingjust the black is missing, run 2-3 head cleans from your printer software or the printer itself. Hopefully this will improve/fix your problem.

Problem with Printhead


I have the same printer with the same exact problem. Even the same color being affected. Unfortunatly no solution. It sounds like we have to replace the very expensive printhead.

Bad printheads, 5300 & ESP7


Have your tired to update the firmware of the printer at kodak.com/go/downloads? make sure if you update the printer it must connected to your computer and it must turn On.,

If you will clean the printhead make sure its always deep clean and also you need to calibrate it also. I know you already familiar how to do it since you already contacted the Customer support.

You can always call Customer support., And if you experienced same problem using a printhead just less than a month and you updated the firmware it means the printer itself is the defective.

We have installed new inkjet cartridges for the inkjet 1200 printer, however there is no inkflow on the paper when printing documents. Please advise on what to do


Sounds like you need to replace the printheads. The business inkjet printers have seperate ink and prinheads. In home use printer models the printer cartridge is all in one with ink and printhead in one unit.

Officejet Pro L7590 printhead message (printheads only 2m. old)!


Pull out the printhead from the computer and check the date under "warranty ends" If the warranty period did not lapse, call HP technical support and tell them about the problem. They will replace the printhead for free. I have gone through 3 black/yellow printheads and I received the replacement printheads via FedEx within 1-2 days. They will send you a pre-paid envelope to return via U.S. Postal Service via US Postal Service.

If the Warranty date on the printhead expired, then you may have to come out of pocket to replace the printhead since HP will argue that they are not obligated to replace the printhead since the manufacturer warranty lapsed.

If this is the case, check to see when you purchased the printer. If the purchase was within a year, the retailer (i.e. Best Buy) is on the hook since there is a 1 year implied warranty on products such as printers, regardless of whether the expiration date on the HP printhead expired.

It Sounds like its a bad printhead but run these trouble shooting steps first.

Lexmark C752 108 Printhead error


They mean the respective printheads have lost the HSynch.  The first thing the we do (and have had great success with) is to clean the laser lenses.  Then check the head wiring.  The following codes apply:
106 & 110 CYAN 107 & 111 MAGENTA 108 & 112 YELLOW 109 & 113 BLACK
