If you dropped a tomtom in water, you will most likely need to get a new one or send it to a repair center.
However, we may be able to make it so we don't loose any data. Did you use a sd card? if you did, try it on your computer, and copy over any files you can.
If you didn't, or couldn't, try plugging the gps into the computer and see if it responds at all. if it does, try to copy any/all files over.
Once you get the GPS back, you can simply copy over the old files, and it should work again!
Also, What do you mean by switched? Do you mean when you tried to switch it on?

My nuface got dropped in water is it possible it could still work if it dries out?

Not a hope if it was switched on when it fell into the water as the components are live and will short out.

If it was switched off, left off and dried out, there is a 60% chance it will work when dried out. The battery still has power to the switch.

Dropped the cell phone or mobile in water

Dropped the cell phone in water
If you would have accidently dropped your cell phone in water or it fell in water you can try fixing it be these below tips
1. Remove the battery of the mobile and try drying it with a hair dryer
2. Put the cell phone in a raw rice container for a day, the rice will soak the moisture and the mobile will become dry from inside
3. After that put the battery back on and try switching, there are more chances now that it will work
4. Never try to instantly switch on the cell phone after taking it out from water you should follow the above steps, switching it on instantly can lead to short circuit in mobile and the cell software can get damaged
5. You can also put the phone in light sunlight (not in very hot direct sunlight) after removing the battery do not put the battery in sunlight though
6. Also make sure you keep the SIM card out of the mobile

By taking these steps you can make a fair attempt to save your mobile from dying.

Dropped in toilet did the rice method touchscreen isnt working now what could be the problem

Its fried. When the phone is switched on and then immersed in water, the chips and components on the main board short out. You would have to send it back to Samsung for repair. Make full disclosure that you dropped it in water as there is a water detecting square in all mobile phones that changes colour after they get wet.
