Most likely the TV has a two wire cord, the easiest way is to go to the store and replace the end with a new plug, this is pretty simple, cut just the end off the cord that is broken, do not cut too far back so you dont lose any cable length.

go to the local hardware or Walmart store, buy a new 2 wire pug and strip back the insulation from the wire about a half inch, then open the new plug housing feed the wire through the hole in the plug cap, pull just enough through to make sure you have enough to work wtih, twist the copper wire that is sticking out of the insulation and place one wire into each hole in the new plug.

then tighten down the screw to secure the wire in place, try and determine which side of the power cord is ground and wire that wire into the side of the plug that the wider blade.

reassemble the cap on the plug ,make sure there are no bare wires showing and that there are no wires touching each other.

if there are any questions or doubts, please do not attemp this yourself, find a qualified person to do it for you.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!wiring can be dangerous if you are not sure what you are doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One way would be to go to a store that sells electrical parts and buy a replacement plug and install it.
The other would be to replace the whole cord, much more time consuming and probably a bit more expensive. I'd just go and buy a new plug.

I had an emergency brake cable snap somewhere (emergency brake cable goes to floor with no resistance). How do I tell where the broken cable is?

The cable runs under the car on the drivers side. if it broke under there it would be hanging down some. Most likely it broke at the foot pedal. There is a metal stud that is molded on the end of the cable and is prong to break first.

Brand new HD LCD TV. Plugging in components and a prong from a component broke off in the tv. Can I easily fix this or should I seek assistance from a professional?

I would seek the assistance of the Pro..If you do not ( and I don't believe you do ) have the right equipment to extract the male, then you will have more problems and void the warranty.

The prong on the plug snapped off in the outlet

Hello. You can replace the plug your self with a good quality 120 volt, 60 Hz plug, or you can take the toaster to most hardware stores or electrical supply stores where they will repair it for you. Joe

Singer 4562 t bobbin case won't fit properly, what am I doing wro

Make sure the bobbin case sets sort of on top and not under the ridge of the metal ring. There is a small latch on the upper left of the bobbin case. It is metal. rotate the latch to cover the bobbin case and this should stabilize the case without making it immobile

Adapter prong is broken on mmmmy wall outlet for my security camera. It broke when I tried to plug it into an extention cord. Only one of the prongs are broken.

You can try using an apoxy metal based resin to glue it back into place... or if you can access it properly solder the prong back in place...

If neither of these help - then I am afraid you need to replace your wall outlet

VCR/DVD prongs broken off in TV

unplug the tv then try to drill a real small hole in the broken off part of the cable that is inthe tv, then take a sharp pointed screw and try to thread it into the hole that you drilled if able to get it started then pull out on the screw to see if it will come out. If not able to do it this way you will have to take the back off and some of and see if you can push the broken part out from the inside. Be sure to unplug your tv from (AC) so you dont get hurt. If that dont work then u probley willhave to take to a shop to get fixed.

Motherboard, cooling unit connection broke

Probably need a new board. If you try to start the pc without the heatsink tied down really tightly to the cpu, it will burn out the cpu in seconds. I think the part you are referring to is part of the built in cpu socket. Don't think it is removable.
