Question about Saws
Had this saw for about five years and have now noticed the blade wobbles slightly and snatches on occasions, its not the blade cuz i brought a new one and still no joy. any common problems or wear and tear you've heard of will be a great help. thanks in advance.
Probably a worn bearing. The only other thing that I have seen cause this is a bent spindle. This would usually occour if the machine has had an impact or if the blade has been suddenly jammed against a nail or something in the work that has caused it to jam and/or jump up.
A good indicator for bearing wear is to see how much play is in the blade in an up/down and side to side movement (unplug saw, safety first).
To check spindle, remove blade and run machine without the flanges etc on. Rest a scredriver gently on the shaft as it spins and see if you notice any (uniform) vibration.
