Error 13 MP3 playback

I installed this last year in my caravan, and it has worked fine until this summer, when all of a sudden I got the "Error 13" message when trying to use the SD memory card. I had changed nothing, the MP3 files are 128bit as recommended. What can I do? I have tried reformatting the SD card and re-laoding the MP3 files, but still nothing except the error message!

Trouble with that one Eagle, "Taking it apart and rewiring will fix the issue.." probably just created a new set of concerns for the customer. I am sure that the phrase may roll off the tongue easily, but does constitute a rather novice solution particulary as he reports the problem as a card reader issue. Just what I am reading :)

Ah.. Error13! Not again! Anyways this is a very common problem in all kinds of players that have USB support. Error 13 means device communication error usually due to power failure. Looks like some loose contact inside this player. Taking it apart and rewiring will fix the issue..

Hope this helps,
Sai.

are you using an amplifier? if so, it sounds like you are using the blue wire (antenna remote turn on) instead of the blue/white wire (amplifier remote turn on) to turn the amplifier on.

You've either got:

An inermittent in the battery (+) wire (the one that is always supposed to be hot)

or

You need to pull the connectors out of the back of the unit and firmly re-seat them back in there.

It sounds like you have a bad ground connection. You need to take the radio out and check all the connections. I bet you have a loose one somewhere. That is what the problem was with my bronco

MP3 files start skipping/popping after few minutes of playback

Sony say in the manual that if you record high bit-rate mp3's the sound may be intermittent. I feel this is due to the decoder having to move ALOT of bits around to play, try some makeing a disk with mixed rate mp3's on. e.g.) some 64Kbps, some 128, some 192, and some as high as you can get and see if there is any differ Luck
