HOV stands for High-occupancy-vehicle lane. Your TomTom may be able to find these lane, and let you use them.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Have tom tom go 910 and can't separate unit from windshield suction cup holder

holding the gps and mount in your hands, looking at it sideways, push the release on the mount (at the cradle) and tip the bottom of the gps toward the top.

is kind of tips into place, if you know what i mean. it can be a real pain sometimes getting them separated.

Can GPS be instaled in LG KC 910?

yes u can
You'll need to pre-install maps onto it first. Be aware that you should do this at a PC, then use the USB connection to copy them across to avoid costly data charges.

In terms of charges for GPS the Renoir has 2 settings - Stand alone GPS and AGPS (assisted GPS). Basically, stand alone works exactly like a Tom Tom - link is made directly to GPS satellites with no data charges but it takes time to link up and refresh details.

AGPS uses your network's towers to link directly with GPS satalites through your mobile network. It differs from network to network but you will incur data charges using it this way. I'd recommend a data bolt on if you plan on using AGPS as it can be pricey.

To switch between modes, go to Settings, Connectivity, GPS type and select the one you want to use.

In terms of map software, you're best off googling Java GPS applications - Way Finder is good and Google maps isn't too bad either, but it all comes down to personal preference.

Will not plot route in mexico

I assume it works ok in the U.S., and most of Mexico. Assuming that, it will be one of two things. 1. Either the locations are not programmed into their software, or you need an update to your GPS. My guess is that they haven't updated yet. I would message Tom Tom to let them know your concerns- sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Good luck, know it's aggravating.

I need someone from tom-tom to get in touch with me please concerning a missing tom-tom of mine. bfusco@myfairpoint.net. please help

you can contact tomtom HERE but if your tomtom was lost or stolen, they will not be able to help you locate it, because your tomtom is a receiver and not a transmitter.

if all gps would be able to transmit there location, there wouldnt be anymore gps thefts.

make sure its charged, and on the bottom, where the tom tom docks to the charger/stand for the computer, there is a small push button that you can press with a straightened paper clip. its the reset button. give that a try. if you cant find it, let me know what model of tom tom you have.

Tom tom can't find sats signal

Try standing still outside in an open area. If you still don't get a signal it's probably broken but worth trying a reset - reset button generally underneath the unit needs a paperclip to operate it...
