How can I reattach handle so I can vac?

Hi Tess, it's Jack at Dyson.

This issue sounds unusual - DC24's reversible wand should simply reattach to the machine in the same way it was removed. The red clip at the front holds it in place.

In order to help you resolve this issue, we'd need to take some additional details about the particular issue you're experiencing. When you have your DC24 to hand, please contact the Dyson Customer Helpline for further assistance. Dyson has no suction

Well, there must be a clog somewhere in the system, because as we all know, "Dyson's never lose suction." You haven't mentioned what makes you think there's no suction, or if there's no suction at a particular point, such as the wand/handle or at the floor unit. If you're familiar with your vac, there are a couple of places near the floor end that can be taken off and checked for plugs. Fully 95% of the time when there's a complaint of no suction, it's because there's a plugged up duct or hose somewhere in the system that's causing the problem.

My dyson hose sucks good but, when i put handle down, it won't **** but brush does turn

I just had the same problem....suction from wand, but no suction from soleplate, the brush bar spins. Did all the troubleshooting steps on dyson.com but they didn't work...dyson.com says need to take to repairman, being a diyer I went to search engine. I didn't find a fix, however I found one myself....it appears the vac can get stuck in floor mode or in between modes....the dial on top on dc07 ....selector of floor or carpet..try pushing it back and forth to see if that puts it in carpet mode...check for suction or try vacuuming...if that doesn't work, looking at vac from behind vac on the right hand side is the selector dial..on top of bottom portion of vac.....with vac in upright position, recline it as if about to vacuumn floor...look down at selector area ...you should be able to see a rectangular type button exposed ..push this to reset position...you may have to push it a few times...then try vacuumniing.....I finally had suction from soleplate!! Another tipoff to this problem is my selector dial would not stay in place would pop I to carpet by itself, but only halfway....fro a long time my vac would work but not very well...had to go over same area.4-5 times..What a workout! The first time I contacted dyson via tele the rep had me remove some stuff and I was able to look at area below selector...what I saw was two holes, one hole was only over the other hole half way...hence at that time I had only part suction since holes were not aligning properly....I read somewhere as a further tip to get suction to engage, while vac is reclined step on front edge of vac head it said you'll get more suction that way, I haven't tried that, but thought it may help someone

My dyson sucks good untill i put handle down

Try moving the floor/carpet selector dial on base of vac back and forth, from floor to carpet repeatedly, at least 5-6 times....it may be stuck

The handle will not stay connected. You can push But when you pull back, it separates right above the off /on switch

There may be damage to where the wand connects to the back of the vacuum cleaner - you should see two grooves on the wand and two on the spine of the vac where the wand slides into - if you have any damage to either side, the wand won't click into place and stay attached to the machine. Call the Dyson helpline for troubleshooting and so that they can refer you to an authorized Dyson repair dealer if needed. If the damage is to the wand alone, you will be able to just purchase a new wand through them.

The handle remains in the upight position

Spray some sillicone spray or furniture polish spray at the bottom where the handle adjuster slider can be seen by tipping the cleaner forward. Its usually a plastic bar that should slide. It can become dirty over time or just need lubrication.

Dyson DC7 full Kit, with one belt does not get suction to head.

Not absolutely sure about this, so your feedback will be very welcome.
What follows applies to the DC14, which I think is similar in this respect:
Stand behind the machine, holding the handle at a 45 degree angle. Locate and remove the airway inspection valve (bottom of handle, right side). Where the valve plugs in there is a square plastic moulding that should slide up and down. Snap that square plastic piece up towards the ceiling. After it snaps into place, the machine should stand upright.
Good luck, and please let me know how you get on!

I have a Dyson DC07 and have used the hose but now I can’t get the hose park to click back into place so the hover handle is coming away
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
Dyson DC07 All Floors Bagless Upright
Once you hose starts to breakdown there is really nothing you can do other than replacing the hose. This is true on almost every vacuum on the market because they are using in most case the plastic hose and the heat and the product you pickup breaks down the hose and starts to lose its strength and starts to collapse. You may want to check with your local vac dealer to see if he has a new one or a good used one for ½ the price. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
