Most computers beep when they first com on. this is not neccessarily a problem unless it's causing the computer to freeze or throws you into a menu.
if it's more than one beep or beeps in a pattern, that would be an error code and could be telling you theres a problem. Please refer to your users manual for alerts usually located in the troubleshooting section of your manual. If no manual is available, post your brand and model number here and ill see if i can look it up for you.
Hope this helps.

A memory module must be installed in slot A. Do not try to operate

the computer with a memory module in slot B only.

If you install a memory module that is incompatible with the

computer, a beep will sound when you turn on the computer. If the

module is installed in slot A, there will be a long beep followed by

a short beep. If the module is in slot B, there will be a long beep

followed by two short beeps. In this case, turn off the computer

    and remove the incompatible module

Hi What precisely do you mean by VGA display, is your laptop not displaying anything on lcd screen,or its having problem giving display on an external monitor connected via a vga port.
if there is no display on the laptop LCD screen, then turn the laptop on and observe for beeps sounds and hard disk spinning sound if still no display is available plug the laptop to external monitor and again restart the laptop. if there is no display on the external screen and laptop is displaying well in LCD, Then most probably you need to press some keyboard combination on laptop keyboard eg: Fn + f4 , refer to your laptop manual also.

When I turn on my acer, a loud beeping sound continues until I shut it off. What happened?

Those beeping noises are called, simply enough, a Beep Code. The continuous tone usually means that your computer has a bad memory stick (or multiple bad sticks). They will need to be replaced.

If the computer is under 1 year old, you can get this done for free under your manufacturer's warranty. Otherwise, the new memory will cost usually a minimum of $50, depending on where you buy it.

My laptop has that problem when i turn it on the screen is just black. please help... ASAP

firstly check if there is any signs of beeping sound when you switch on the laptop.

if not sound that means, you might have a problem with you processor or the mainboard.

but if you hear the beeping sound when booting up the laptop, try to use an external monitor or screen to chcenk whether the system is working fine or not. connect an external screen to the vga com port on the laptop and hold on function key (fn) and press f5 to see if the external screen displays something.

if yes, then you will need to replace the screen and if no, then send the laptop for service

Charging problem.

Since your laptop is one year old, i guess you still have warranty on it. Your battery is bad and you need a new one. Go to the shop and request a new one by the warranty.
