Welcome to Fixya. The reason why you can't use it is because it is restricted to the sim card of the carrier. If you want to use a different sim card you need to have the phone unlock by a third party unlocker. Ive provided the link below of a third party unlocker who can help you with your problem. Just a heads up unlocking phone is not free because they will be using a special program to do it. Even if you call nokia they will not provide you the code to unlock your phone.
