An Amber blinking power button indicates a low voltage problem. This can be caused by a defective power supply or a defective motherboard. Since you replaced the power supply, my guess is that the motherboard has a problem.
Just to make sure that nothing else is causing the problem, remove any PCI cards like modem, video card, sound card, etc... Remove the memory modules and disconnect cables to CD/DVD drives. Look at the USB ports to see if any are damaged

I have a broken Dell Precision 470 Workstation. The symptoms are as follows: Won't power up; Flashing yellow power LED on front panel; Blank STR_LED on motherboard; Yellow AUX_PWR LED on motherboa

Flashing front powerlight is often a result of a faulty powersupply, try another powersully on the pc and see if the problem gets solved. I've seen a few of these cases personally.

Satellite pro L300 screen is blank. Power light is on (green), battery light is yellow, HDD light is off.

Sounds like it's broke. Blank screen means it's broken, battery light is yellow I beleive it means time to replace the batteries.

Eee Pc starts with blank screen. it starts up and goes straight to a blank screen. wireless and power light on. No hard drive light. what can be done to this?

it could be a ram issue. if you're proficient with your hardware and the lappie is out of warranty try removing the ram sticks then re-seating them. this resets the ram and allows the monitor to turn on

BLANK SCREEN-ACER ASPIRE 3661

You can check the little indicator light on the notebook.

If the hard drive was dead, that wouldn't cause the display to go blank.
If your problem was with your hard drive, you would still get the BIOS screen and then a message about being unable to load an operating system. So, I doubt if that is the problem.

My guess is that you have a relatively serious motherboard, video card, memory, or CPU problem.

When you turn it on, does it beep ? If so, how many times ? You can translate these beep codes at: http://networking.ringofsaturn.com/PC/beep.php __________________
