No unfortunately not, I am stil learning to fix tv's and this is one of the tv's I got to fix. But like you can see it is one of those hard to fix problems. Can you please give me any suggestion of what else it could be in the TV itself. Thanks

There are only 2 parts in the degauss circuit.I guess some sets have 3 parts if you count the relay. Change the degauss thermistor. Make sure the degauss coil has continuity. Solder the connector on the board where the degauss coil plugs in. Make sure there are not cracks on the board that have broken the copper traces from the thermister to the coil or from the ac line to the thermister that would keep the unit from degaussing at every turn on. Good Luck! Let me know!

Sir, Iam Raju from vizag. My TV Sansui 21 inchs flat colour tv. displaying with colour. please tell me our tv problem. and solution my mail id arajudmsc@gmail.com please sir

Does this tv dropped? if not, you may have large speaker beside it. Keep it away from magnets, speakers that are not magnetically shielded placed near your tv can cause stain(the problem you have in your tv). After doing so and still stain persist, degaussing in needed (not available as household tools) what we can do is leave it like that for quite sometime it will eventually disappear, arround 2 weeks,, not unless your tv's tube is defective. Tv's are equipped with internal degaussing circuitry but needs time to clean those stains, since it work only few sec after switching On your tv. Hope it helps

Sansui picture is fluorescent ping purple green, etc. Worked fine yesterday.

HELLO

By the sound of this you have a degaussing problem! I think what has happened here is the degauss circuit has failed and the usual cause is the POSISTOR.

What you should try to do is switch the TV on, then OFF again and leave it for 30 mins before switching on again. When you have done this and the problem is no better, then contact a service centre who will cure the fault for you.

Alternatively, try to borrow a DEGAUSS COIL and with the set on, switch the coil on and by using a circular motion go around the screen of the TV moving backward slowly as you do it. When you are say 6 feet away from the screen switch the degauss coil off.

HOPE THIS HAS HELPED YOU (:-)

Degaussing problem

There is an automatic de-gaussing circuit within the TV and it's likely to be the culprit. When the set is first turned on (before you even see a picture) this circuit is active and as it warms up, a thermistor opens up and stops the circuit from operating. It does this because as it heats up it's resistance rises and the circuit stops the current flowing through the de-gaussing coil. Over time from the heat/cool cycle, the connections to the circuit board fail. Simply re-soldering the thermistor is probabaly all that's needed.

How do i degaussing a dell e550 color monitor usung its built in degaussing system?

Hi - Your monitor has a built in degaussing feature that executes every time you turn the monitor on. To perform extra degaussing, turn your your monitor off for at lest 30 minutes then turn it back on. This will cause it do a more thorough degaussing as opposed to just turning your monitor off and then turning it right back on. If this answered your question PLEASE rate this as fixed. If you need more help just add a comment and I'll be happy to assist you further. Thanks.

Screen Colours incorrect

Your CRT (Picture Tube) screen mask has become magnetized. You need to degauss the CRT. Have you moved you TV lately or at any point had speaker sitting next to it? These are two things that can magnetize the screen mask. Well in any event you will need what is called a degaussing coil to demagnetize the CRT.

Here is the degaussing procedure:

Standing about 10 feet from the TV Screen turn on the degaussing coil which is in a vertical position and rotate it in a circular motion walking towards the TV .

Once about .5 to 1 inch from the TV continue to rotate the degaussing coil and the move away from the TV while still rotating the coil.

Once at the point where you began, position  the coil to a horizontal plane and quickly move the coil back about two feet and the turn the coil off.

This will deguass the CRT.

Thank you,
