Question about Sony Grand WEGA KDF-42WE655 42" Rear Projection HDTV
I have experienced very distinct vertical green lines that go from the top of the sceen down about 2/3rds and from the right to about 2/3rds of the entire screen. I will stay that way for sometimes several days and then one time when you turn it on they are gone. Months later they will reappear for various lenghts of time. The lines will stay there no matter how many times you turn the set on or off. This will effect both programming and DVD's so I do not believe that it has anything to do with the incoming cable connection.
It sounds like th green LCD panel laminations or bonding has separated and this is causing your green lines. The optical block would have to be replaced to solve the problem.
