GeForce2 MX-400 PCI card problem

By Powe33 - usenet poster

Hello,

I recently purchased a GeForce2 MX-400 PCI card from Palit Microsystems and
I'm having some installation problems on my Windows XP system. The Windows
desktop will not display the task bar or start menu when I'm running the
card. Everything displays perfectly when I revert back to my system's
built-in Intel 810e video controller.

I've tried all of the drivers recommended by Windows XP and the drivers
included with the card itself. I also attempted to install the Windows XP
driver listed on Palit's website, but I got an error message saying the
driver was not digitally signed and could cause system instability problems.

Would really appreciate any suggested fixes for this problem.

I wouldn't worry too much about the digital signature message. It just
means the driver isn't WHQL certified.
