Question about Sony Ericsson M600i Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Phone can not boot completed after restore my m600i's GDFS file to my friend's m600i

I tried to upgrade my friend's m600i today. I restored my own m600i's GDFS file( which is lastest version firmware) to my friend's m600i. After update all of firmware by SEUS. This phone's boot "status bar" amlost stay on 95% around and didn't go forward after I type my SIM card password.
I think may be cause the "phone lock number" is different between the two phones.
Any solution I can take ?

When powered up goes to browser system configuration

Hello, I think I can help you. Sounds like some files are corrupted or an issue with the hard drive.
Please try a system restore(like windows) by following these steps.

1. Turn off PlayStation 3.
2. Hold the power button down until the system turns on and then off once again.
3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press power until you hear 2 consecutive beeps .When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
5. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via USB and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.
7. Choose to 'Restore File System' and follow the process through.

If that doesn't work you can try some of the other options.

  1. 1)Restart SystemThis option boots your system as normal without changing any settings or files.

  2. 2)Restore Default Settings.Restores all default settings on the PS3 for networking, clock, video, etc. For a full list of the restored settings you can look under settings> system settings > restore defaults on your console. This should not eliminate your game saves or other saved content, including your user login.

  3. 3)Restore File SystemThis will rewrite the files the PS3 uses to boot. This feature will help if files have become corrupted and are not allowing the console to boot as normal. This should not erase any of your saved data or settings.

  4. 4)Rebuild DatabaseThis can be a usefull feature if you have lost files on your system for no apparent reason. Try using this feature to see if it can restore those files. This will also rewrite corrupted files within the database, potentially eliminating future issues. This feature should not erase any of your saved data or settings.

  5. 5)RESTORE PS3 SYSTEMThis will restore your system to original including, formatting and erasing all of the data on the HD and returnig all system settings to default. This will not take your system back to a previous Firmware release. Use this option as a last resort, unless you have nothing on the console that you want or you want to erase everything on the console, do not use this option.

  6. 6)System UpdateThis will allow the user to update their console with new firmware via a Flash drive or other portable media. This will not allow you to update via an internet connection. This can usefull if your system has become corrupted to the point you can not boot. You will need a portable media device with the correct firmware and in the correct file structure to complete the upgrade. For further information on using portable media to upgrade your system please see our section on upgrading your Firmware.

  7. I hope this helps :D

Can you help me to get the master reset code of sony ericcson M600i ? the imei : 35931500-323174-2...pleaseee....thanx before

There is a restore option for this phone that will clear all data, and return it to its original state.

Select back up manager, as when making a backup, but you will see
the restore option, select restore.

All the data is written over, all the data on the phone, and do not at all
touch the phone until it is done, or you can wreck the phone.

Remember, this will erase everything that is on the phone just as it was when brand new.

If you need to save anything and don't know how just ask again.

My phone is off each time i switch it on it just blinks and off i was told that it is a software Problem how can i solve it

you'ld have to download pretty good amount of this to do this. Follow step by step to the following procedure:

  • Downloads
    1. USB Flash Driver ( http://rapidshare.com/files/137908666/IS O-8859-1__driver.zip)
    2. XS++ 3.1 Darwin
Please download all of these files before proceeding.
1.) Converting to CID52 (if required)If XS++ detects a DB2020 CID49 or CID51 phone, it will automatically ask if the user wants to upgrade.
CAUTION!!! If You Upgrade To CID52, You Can Not Revert Back To CID49 Or CID 51.

2) Backing up GDFS
Backing up the GDFS isn't something which necessarily has to be done when flashing firmware, but it is a very good way to ensure you don't damage your phone beyond repair.

Step 1.
Take battery out of phone and put back in (do not turn phone on). Open XS++ and click Connect. Hold down the "C" button on the phones keypad and connect the USB cable. If this is the first time you flash your phone you will need to install the Flash drivers.

Step 2.
Click on the GDFS tab

Step 3.
Click "Backup GDFS" and wait (shouldn't take more than about half a minute).

Step 4.

3) Flashing the firmware
Step 1.
Take battery out of phone and put back in (do not turn phone on). Open XS++ and click Connect. Hold down the "C" button on the phones keypad and connect the USB cable.

Step 2.
Select the firmwares (make sure you extract them first) by clicking the "..." buttons or simply dragging the file from the explorer to the box (don't get mixed up with FS and MAIN).
Click "Flash" and wait (this takes a while, 6-7 minutes is normal).

Step 3.
Flashing is done, you can breathe now

*) Recovering from a bad flash
*WARNING* flashing a GDFS that did not originally come from that exact handset may have severe consequences. By exact handset I mean your handset, not your friends unlocked handset, YOUR HANDSET!

If a flash goes bad, two things need to be done:
1. You need to flash the firmware for the model you had before (when you did the GDFS backup), and
2. You need to restore GDFS.

For flashing follow from step 3 above. Do the GDFS restore after flashing and customizing the handset.

Step 1.
Take battery out of phone and put back in (do not turn phone on). Open XS++ and click Connect. Hold down the "C" button on the phones keypad and connect the USB cable. If this is the first time you flash your phone you will need to install the Flash drivers

Step 2.
Click on the GDFS tab

Step 3.
Select the backup you wish to restore. Click “Write GDFS”.

Step 4.
Done
