Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console

WELCOME SCREEEN PROBLEMS

I dropped my DS. All was well. Until this happened.

The game froze suddenly. I switched the DS off. I turned it on again and it asked me to set the date, time etc.

I did, and the DS told me to press A to reset the system.

I turn it on. The same thing. SET DATE AND TIME!

Why?

You probably damaged the main circuit board and the settings like the date cant be saved properly so after reboot it thinks something has happened and wants you to re set settings and happenes again and again.

You cant really, unless you want to try hit it again. (Not likely to work)!

You can send it in for repairs which is a big ripoff but if you really want one, wait for the new NDSi. I Prefer PSP

My son took game out of console without powering off now screen is frozen and I cannot even power off have tried other games screen stays the same

Hi.

You will need to remove the battery to get the DS Lite to turn off.

Get yourself a Philips screwdriver and a small flat headed screwdriver, then close the lid on the DS. Next turn the DS upside down with card slot facing towards you.
On the right hand side of the DS you will see a Philips screw head near the bottom, unscrew that screw and remove the battery cover. This will expose the battery itself. Use the flat headed screwdriver to gently pry the battery out from the right hand side.
Once the battery is out the DS will shut down. Reinsert the battey again and screw the cover back on.
Switch the DS on and it should work properly again. If it freezes again just repeat these steps.

Regards.

Hi ds screen and sound froze just been knocked with small ball he doesn want me to turn it off on ,and lose his journey anything i can do ?

No, unfortunately you will have to reboot it, It may allow you to power down by using the on/off button but if not you may have to open the back battery cover with a small philips head screw driver and removed and reinsert the battery. What has probably happened is the game card that was in there has been moved and the software has jammed and will not be able to be reset until you power off and on again.

DS lite won't recognise any games

Put in the last game that worked. Turn it on/off. Then remove game. Sometimes they get locked up and need that last working game to get it working again.

Action Replay code manager wont read me action replay

Your replay needs re-setting....
  1. With your console powered off insert the Action Replay DS
  2. Hold down buttons A+B
  3. Turn your console on
  4. With A+B still held down, as soon as you see the Action Replay DS license screen press and hold down buttons START+SELECT so that you now have 4 buttons held down
  5. Hold all 4 buttons down for around 10 seconds until the Action Replay DS loads to it`s home screen
  6. If Action Replay DS doesn’t hold on the license screen for around 10 seconds when you do this, you may need to turn off and try again
You can tell if it needs re-setting by...;

* Code Manager PC software is reporting that Action Replay DS does not contain enough free space when it actually contains no codes.
* Code Manager PC software is reporting the console`s battery is low when it’s actually fully charged.
* Multicoloured bars are shown on the screen after you confirm the entry of a game ID when trying to manually enter codes. * You can use the Code Manager PC software without any problems until the Action Replay DS is connected via USB set to the update mode on the console, at which point Windows shows a run time error.
If you are experiencing any of these problems, please follow the steps below to reset the Action Replay DS hardware. Please beware that resetting the Action Replay DS hardware will not restore a default codelist, and any codes which are stored on the Action Replay DS will be erased.

Dropped Nintendo DS Lite on wooden floor - NOW IT WON'T TURN ON

remove the battery for a few mins and put it back in and try again?
Its a long shot but theres very little you can do with this, the insides of the DS lite are REALLY small and the only replaceable parts are the screen, buttons, etc. and you cant really fix damage to the board or chips inside which presumably is whats happened here if you get zero response.
Sorry.. :(

Action Replay DS

All you need to do is, when you have those blue and red lines, means the codes are corrupted. To fix this, you will have to reset the Action Replay. To do that, you need to do this:

1. Hold down the A and B buttons before turning the console on.
2. Turn the Ds on while still holding the A and B, but when the health and safety screen comes up, hold down Start and Select too, so you now have 4 buttons held down.
3. Keep holding all 4 down until the main screen of the Action Replay appears. You'll have no games, which is no worry now because you can hook it up to the computer and update your AR with all the games again.

Hope this helps!

My DS touch screen flashes once when the power switch is flipped, then turns off.

when the ds turn off right after being powered on, that generally would mean the that the ribbon cable that goes from the top to the bottom is either disconnected, or ripped. thats like a $15-$20 fix or so when u get the parts.
