How do you change the oven element on a Westinghouse PAJ143W as the element is hidden

To replace Westinghouse PAJ143W oven element you need to look at the back of oven with a torch etc, and you will see the element ends go into the back through clips on each side. At the top of these clips in the middle there is a bit where you get a screwdriver to push down and lever forward and it will come out a bit you do this on both sides. Then lift the clips and element 'both sides'' together and carefully pull forward making sure you're careful with the wiring and pull out a little making sure you stop the wires slipping back while you swap elements. Make sure you put plate at front back in place to keep element up off the bottom, it has two reswts for element on it.

I need the bottom heating element in an old westinghouse wall oven. the model # is OG25HXO

I am not certain what geographic region you are in but... Bake elements are often generic between brands. The key is to match up voltage, wattage, size, bends and terminals. Here are 2 pages of westing house elements:

http://www.partselect.com/PartSearchWizard.aspx?Appliance=Range+%2f+Stove+%2f+Oven&Brand=Westinghouse&PartType=Element+or+Burner&Electrical=Yes

I tried searching using OG25HXO with little success even on westinghouse sites US and AU.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

I need to replace the element on my westinghouse freestyle 808 oven . where can i order one how do i change the element? thanx

pull the unit out of the housing and rest on a suitable work bench. turn off the power and remove the rear cover you will see the grill element, ring element and the bottom element. depending on whcih one has blown they are relatively straight forward to replace.
as for where to purchase one depends on what country and area you live in. best to search for someone local on line

We had the same thing happen and now they came and said it was the clock that needs to be replaced. They said that controls the oven. Even though clock is on and working the function for turning on the oven is not

The Bottom oven element has burned out. Is is

It's replaceable,if it's an exposed element meaning you can look in the oven and see the element you can do it yourself unplug the range take out the two screws securing it pull it slowly toward you,unplug the two connectors and put in the new one,if it's a hidden bake meaning you can't see the element you would be better off having it done.

What wire goes where for my Westinghouse Freestyle elements?

oven wiring has the same conventions as house wiring.
green = earth, outside coating
brown or white = one of core ends
black = the other end

Foil baked onto oven base.

Unfortunately, it's too late. The tin foil has melted into the panel and can't be removed. You should never place anything on the bottom of a stove that has a hidden element. You will damage the panel. Oven operation is not affected. The only option you have is to replace the panel or the entire oven liner...
