Hello,

If you have checked all setting audio settings (line in, CD, AUX, Speaker, etc. levels are set to high) and still can not get higher sound, you may need to have the speakers checked. A certified tech can do this for you.

Iis there a volume control on toshiba tecra a2

If it's plugged into a external speaker system, doesn't the external speaker system have volume control? In the Tray Notification Area, right click or click on the Sound Icon, adjust volume OR open the Control Panel and select Sounds Icon. Laptop aren't known for great sound, I use this: http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/shop_online/digital_music_systems/sounddock_systems/sounddock_portable/index.jsp

Toshiba pc volume is not loud enough to hear good at all.

In Control Panel go to "Sound". and then "Properties"
depending on your operating system. Try to navagate to a pop up menue that has a number of choices for sound inputs/outputs such as "Speakers" , "Media", "Windows Desktop Gadgets" ect. They will have a up and down volumn bar. I would expect one of them to be at a low setting. Move them all to the top and see if it does not correct the issue.

Movies will play fine however the music is at normal volume and the voices are very quiet. To hear them you can turn it up but then music is too loud.

This might be your TV many of the SONY and PHILIPS TV's have an Auto Volume control setting that is used to prevent the TV advert music from being too loud compared to the programs try turning this ON and OFF and see if it helps.

dear sir,
at first plz check that your volume control balance settings is accurate. check the attached image for setting volume control. another things is this types of problem occurs:-
1) if your laptop headphone socket's internal connection plate semi displaced.
2) if your laptop internal audio amplifier circuit weak.
if problem no.1 occurred then u can try it by using a audio jack in and out 4 or 5 times.
so plz check

NO Sound when I use my headphone

There are independant controls for headphones as well as speakers. Some models have 3 ports on them, 1 for speakers, 1 for headsets and 1 for microphone aside from the cheesy one that comes with the system. There should be a sound effects manager as well as a sound and audio device option. Try the audio device option. And look around the system, there should be a control to turn up the volume!
