In Control Panel go to "Sound". and then "Properties" depending on your operating system. Try to navagate to a pop up menue that has a number of choices for sound inputs/outputs such as "Speakers" , "Media", "Windows Desktop Gadgets" ect. They will have a up and down volumn bar. I would expect one of them to be at a low setting. Move them all to the top and see if it does not correct the issue.
Take the people adviced exchanged it for another tv,this tv 100% have it main tv Tuner signal board have problems, that the most important board for the tv,beside the tv LCD screen panel itself.

dear sir, at first plz check that your volume control balance settings is accurate. check the attached image for setting volume control. another things is this types of problem occurs:- 1) if your laptop headphone socket's internal connection plate semi displaced. 2) if your laptop internal audio amplifier circuit weak. if problem no.1 occurred then u can try it by using a audio jack in and out 4 or 5 times. so plz check thanks
First!
1) check your setting for sound to (2 way speakers)
2) Setting for Volume in control panel.
3) connector may be you need a little expantion from radio shack gold ext.
4) be sure you got sound from headphones !! **
Go it!
There are independant controls for headphones as well as speakers. Some models have 3 ports on them, 1 for speakers, 1 for headsets and 1 for microphone aside from the cheesy one that comes with the system. There should be a sound effects manager as well as a sound and audio device option. Try the audio device option. And look around the system, there should be a control to turn up the volume!
