Hitachi Plasma Flat Screen T.V. Mod #42EDT41 Has 1" vertical line, 10 inch from left side, top to bottom. another vertical line 14 inches from 1st vertical line.could you please let me know what...

This buffer board normally will just bypass the video to the screen from the main digital board.
There could be other problems with the main digital control board but it could also have a problem with the flex cables that connect from 6871QRH037A to the plasma panel.

Hi Fixya, hope you can help.I have a Sony 55 inch TV. The TV has dim blue screen with no picture & no OSD, no menu, etc. Sound works OK.....would you know how might I fix it?

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.
In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Lamp Problems

If you put in an osram "neolux" type lamp--these will NOT often work in Mits. tv sets. And MIts often sends out Neolux bulbs now. A phillpis bulb for this works MUCH better.

I have a Philips 60-Inch DLP Projection HDTV model# 60PL9200D/37 won't power up or down when you plug it in you hear the motor come on but only thing that happens is the power button blinks blue. Real...

Its main board [motherboard] will have some short circuited component/s. To locate the exact faulty component, you have to check the main board. Normally, DLP control chip are found faulty to this type of sets. You must have through knoledge and expereince to work with this type of Tv circuits, and must have its schematic diagram [service book], all tools to proceed. OK.

Just curious as to how much a philips magnavox motherboard would cost for a 32 inch tv.. installation included

Need the model number of the set to even begin to answer your question since there are so many different Phillips 32 inch models and they all have different components and circuit board designs.

My tv has double images and color is off, how do i fix this?

If it is a 46GW947 there is a common problem---pretty easy to fix

This model with the set unplugged and the back removed has above all the main boards another board suspended over 12 inches from the main boards--it is about 10 inches wide and 4 inches deep---a few plugs, and 4 screws and it comes right out--among other things it is the main power for the CONVERGENCE circuit in this model.

Towards the far right side of the board you will see several diodes-------two of them near each other are much larger----Commonly on this model one of the two SHORTS, stopping voltage to the convergence circuit.

You can test the diode in this case like checking a fuse----it should NOT have a reading like a fuse--if you find either of those two diodes reads across--it is bad and most likely your problem.

Each diode will have a LOCATION number under it on the top of the board----if you find one bad--let me know the location number and I will get you a part number---both those diodes are somewhat special.

If this has helped you, rate this solution as I do this here for free.

An Rca tv turns on then immediately turns off. Rca tv model number 20F512T. It has picture, audio, and no blinking lights. I've checked the main board and no problem what so ever. Nothing burned or loose....

If it turns off going standby, and led is on, then it is on protect, and remaining parts must be tested.

If it turns off completely, and you can restart it with the On button, then the board with controls is faulty.
If it does switch off completely (no light), and only comes back on after unplugging power cord for a while, then there is a different internal fault that is not starting protection circuit , but causing shutdown.
After double checking the PSU board, you will have to test a couple of ICs on main controller board, the deflection circuit and flyback transformer. Check also for broken solder joints and thaces of shorts on all boards and components (eg. burnt areas, blown capacitors), as a short can potentially cause sudden shut down.

Here schematics.

Here all parts for your TV.

My sanyo tv was hit by a power it dosnt turn on. i have a 27 inch sanyo tv

You have a power supply issue on the main board of your set. This is not an easy fix for a home owner, Your best bet is to call a service shop and get a price quote. Tearing into tv's is very dangerous! High voltage is present even when unplugged! Good luck!
