    Nothing at all. But then again, I just figured out that the moron (meaning me) didn't notice the power plug on the back came loose.

We have an Insigna Flat Screen TV when you turn on the TV sometimes one side of the TV is black or sometimes there are gray stripes that show up. Does this mean the TV is history?

Sounds like your LVDS cable that plugs into the T-Con board needs cleaned. I don't recommend you doing this. Have a service center do it. It's not a costly repair.

Try the T.V. manufactures website, E-Bay or the store where you got the T.V. from.

Insignia tv will not turn on, {power up}

That is usually a faulty power adapter.

Sometimes a faulty inverter board can do the same, but in that case you often get sound with no picture for a while before the the inverter comes up.

In your case it is probably a blown capacitor on power supply board.
