Question about Brother XL-6562 Mechanical Sewing Machine
My Brother XL-6562 which has been sitting for several years, is not feeding fabric through properly. It appears that the dog feed are only moving in an up and down motion rather than up and down and back and forth. If I apply slight pressure I can get the fabric to move but without pressure it just sits there & sews at the same place. Would a bit of oil applied somewhere help? -SongBird
Oil might help but it sounds like you don't have enough pressure on the foot. You can take the casing off where the light is and there is a screw back there that controls the tension on the pressure foot. It is not meant to be changed by anyone but a professional. I've changed the tension but it wasn't easy. If you are still interested let me know and I will try to explain.
