Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Window keeps popping out

When it pops up again, try pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete and go to the task manager.
Then select the application for it, right click and press go to process.

Then, right click that process and click 'End process tree'.

Hope that works. It works for me when a window keeps popping up but have never had it ask to open a file.

Thank you for using FixYa

I have a couple of ideas. first, I am not a network engineer but I have had some experience helping people troubleshoot their networks. There are a couple of questions that come to mind, especially since you mention a downgrade in speed. You seem pretty network savvy so I suppose when you changed over to winNT and did your speed test, you disconnected all the computers on the network and used just one computer from your modem to do the test? Secondly, if you are running 13 computers on just one input you could be pressing the capability of that ISP and with all the recent cost cutting and talk about limiting their networks, maybe the place to start is with the ISP. Have you thoroughly had them do a line test? I also would have recommended at least having two IP addresses for that many computers, of course most get away with it for a long time. I feel compassion for you on the old XP/Vista hardware also. What you are saying is that you have a good connection to the server and that the 24 port switch is the where the problem is? Isolate the server then add one computer at a time using another router? Have you tried that? Your text ended with "do me a favour" so I may have not done what you needed.

I hope this was useful and please comment if this was helpful to you.
