Casio tk-7000 scanning and PLU programming

Hi, you were able to help with a Casio question previously. I have tried Premium Assistance with no response so thought I would try you again. I am wanting to add a scanner to the till. I have purchased a Symbol LS2208. Looking through the manual it appears that i have to programme the till to recognise the scanner. The programme is asking me for a
Record No (PGM 3 ST Record No 98 ST Program data CA/AMT ST) I dont know what that number would be. Can you help?

sorry, this is the second time I have been given not very good answer. The scanner is brand new so the scanner is working. The till is not recognising the scanner. How do I get the till to recognise the scanner?

  • donzymete Oct 07, 2008

The Scanner is a Symbol LS2208 with an RS232 serial Port. Was advised by 2 technicians who deal with Barcode scanners that this one would work with the Casio TK7000.

    Ok. here's the deal...
You need to match the RS232 settings of the scanner to the cash register port. This requires setting the port using the tables from this manual:
    http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/TOC...

You match the IO programming to that of your scanner. this is the record number you were talking about. The dealer manual has the tables to match the scanner type etc. and programming for scanning PLUs

Seems the cash reg manuals are available only for casio dealers.
Could you please tell us what output interfaces do you have in your cash register ?
if you have a serial port (RS 232), you can directly connect to the scanner.
I think cash reg manual can also be bought for about $6.

Without knowing about the cash register, nothing could be thought of.

Although your Scanner is Brand new, but in my opinion it is not compatible with your Casio TK 7000.

Thats why I had suggested you to choose Voyager Scanner, which works better with this model.

Could you please let me know in bit more detail about your scanner, its model and make, So I can investigate further.

It may be the problem due to interface board of Casio, due to which the mention code appeared.

Please visit the official site and contact them for more detail about how to connect the LS2208 in the Casio Register TK-7000

Here is the link I am providing you:

    Scanner LS2208

Since your Scanner LS2208 having RS232 Port. ANd the Register TK 7000. To connect together you need a Cable. Cable CBA-T02-C09ZA will connect the PDT 81xx with the Micro-D RS232 port to the scanner models.

The LS2208 scanner has the capability to be connected to a host as a USB device. So check if the Scanner connect to the enable USB port of the Machine.

    Best of Luck & Regards

You need to check the printer to see if it is jammed. E15 indicates printer failure.

How do I program extra departments into a Casio TK - T200. I need 22 Dept Keys

The TK-T200 comes with 30 Flat PLU buttons. These can be set to open price if you want to use them as departments. To remove the fixed price, Turn key to program mode 0 now press the PLU button you want to change SUBTOTAL
Now you will need to enter a price (no decimal point) each time you use it in REG mode.
If this is not suitable, please let me know more information about your needs.

How to merge (not found PLU) into scanning PLU file in casio te-4

Hi.
This is the only thing I haven't managed to do with them. I've tried many methods and consulted other techs, but it seems they are very separate memory areas. You will probably just have to program the product into the scanning PLU file as well.
If I find a way, I'll try to post it for you.

TK 1550 casio

Hi.
I haven't worked with the 1550, but most Casios are the same.
Try this:

Turn key to program.
Press 0
Press the PLU that you want to set as open priced.
Press SUBTOTAL

That will set the price as 0 for that PLU. Now we set the feature for that PLU to allow manual pricing.

Leave key on program.
3
SUBTOATL
0
Press the PLU again
SUBTOTAL

Try that. If you had tax set to that PLU, you may need to set it again.

How do I allocate PLUs to departments on my CASIO TK-7000?

take a readout of the department and groups first
pgm6
205 subtotal
1 cash 30 cash
this will print out your departments

pgm6
206 subtotal
this will print out your groups

pgm3
1166 subtotal
enter your 6 digit number then press all the products linked to that department / group

your 6 digit number = DDGG00 DD= Department GG= Group
then 00
so for dept 1 gp 1 = 010100

when finished
press subtotal

Casio tk-7000 scanning and PLU programming

I think I see what you are trying to do here
plu codes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Price_Look-Up

these plu codes are for networked tills where prices are controlled by the till server (a central list of prices used by all tills)

whereas I think you are trying to assign prioces to individual keys, and therefore you should use this guide. to program the prices to the keys

http://www.calcullus.co.nz/Manuals/Casio%20TK-xxxx.pdf

I hope this helps
