Question about Lello Ariete 45900

1 Answer

Lello 1375 I just got a new lello 1375 and went to prime it for the first time like the directions say, and it seems as though no water is getting into the machine to prime it. I seems like the spring on the bottom of the water reservoir is no pushing up enough to fill the machine. Its getting really hot and I don't want to ruin the machine.... HELP!

I have the same problem but I do think the water resevoir button is working properly. I went to prime it for the first time like the directions say, and it seems as though no water is getting into the machine to prime it. Its getting really hot and I don't want to ruin the machine. This is the 2nd unit I've purchased so I am not impressed.

The tube which feeds the siphon pump cand be swithced to port two . when you remove hose it can be force feed with a turkey baster filled with water. once its primed the first time it should be fine. also if its exposed to cold weather when shipped or in starage it need to be broght to room temperature before priming .

I took apart a gaggia to try to fix it. I am in the UK. They cannot cope with hard water (it doesnt happen in italy) so limescale can block ANY of its parts. So have you tried descaling it?

Is prime the same as descale

I knew the paperclip trick, I tried the air shot to reverse the flow of water. After running Vinegar and water through and letting sit overnight. I tried the air blast then make a cup, another blast X 4....though I get a good flow through the K-cup area, I still only get 2/3 cup of water.

sounds like you need to prime it. if the water tank is full, then there's no water in the espresso machine. even after we followed the directions in the manual for priming the sirena, we still couldn't get the water to go from the reservoir in the back into the machine.

johnshami had this solution on another post, and it worked for us:
  1. make sure the water in the tank is stone cold -- which is a no brainer since it will not heat h2o unless it's primed.
  2. take off steamer wand cover, turn the steamer knob clockwise till pump starts.
  3. then s*ck (as you would on a straw, with your lips sealed around the end of the steamer wand) the tip of the end of the metal tip hard until pump stops
  4. may need to do it a couple of times. yes this seems crazy, but it works! you are flushing out the vapor lock in the pump.

Just finished setting up...everyworks but no water comes out.???

We got the Breville ESP6SXL as a gift from Crate and Barrel. I Put water in the tank put the tank in the machine and nothing but a loud vibration came out. I tried everything to get it to work and on one attempt noticed that a few small air bubbles come out when I dropped the tank in place. this means the air in the machine is creating a barrier that prevents the water from going into the machine. (priming process) I lifted the tank and pressed it down in and out for a while 20-30-50-100 times eventually drop by drop enough water gets into the machine to create a vaccum and this is what sucks the water from the tank into the machine. I suggest trying 20-30 times, make sure its heated up and turn it to brew, if it doesn't start working with 30 seconds, try another 20-30 times. I was going for a while and air bubbles kept coming out every time I dropped it back down. air bubbles were still coming out when it finally did start working so you don't have to get all the air out it just needs some water inside to create the proper vaccum. This will work, I tried calling Breville and was on hold forever... Good Luck Hope this helps Ken

First time using, doesn't seem to be taking in any water

you have internal probleme whit your keurig. the only thing we recommand to try and if posible, is try to blow whitout leak (to built pressure) in water inlet at the same time the machine try to pump. you can make it by simulating water level whit and magnet a the right place and right pole (side). but I think our machine is brand new or not to old and keurig will exchange whitout probleme.
