When I start up the sims 2 it gives me an error page and on the page details it gives me this

- I'll doubleclick the sims 2 icon on my desktop, click play, and the beginning movie plays , then it goes to the loading screen. However, as it starts loading, it goes straight back to my desktop and closes itself out. It's like i never clicked it to begin with. I tried uninstalling it and re-installing it, but its doing the same thing. And I know that my laptop is more then capable of handling this game. - Katie_09Dec 25, 2008

i also had that problem. in my case it was because of all my downloads (objects from other sites) too many mb for that game. then i started delete something until i could play it. i dont know if its also your case but i hope i helped a bit bye

mine is very similar but my game freezes and when i close the game the SP4 message comes up
