Sounds like it may be in "sleep" mode. Try pressing the power button quickly (press and release). If that does not work just unplug the machine, wait 30 seconds and replug. Turn it on and see if that corrects the problem.

My computer was running very loudly, for a couple of days, than one morning after working properly for a few hours the power went out and it won't even turn on.

does it make a sound when you press the on button? cause if not you might have a problem with your power supply.
if it does make a sound it might be motherboard problem.
if it makes a beep(ing) sound(s) it could be fixed most of the time for under $100 no promises:)

just in case try to unplug the power from the computer >> hold the power button for about 20sec >> plug the power back in and turn the computer on see if that works.

post back with a bit more info such as what you hear when you press the on button (any sound at all even its a short one).

Check to see if there are any loose connections to the memory cards on the memory board. Make sure the data cable to the drives are connected properly. Is the fan in the power supply on?
