Question about Logitech S 510 (967555) (DH967555) Keyboard and Mouse

1 Answer

Logitech S510 mouse will not turn on

I have a new logitech s510 mouse and key board. the key board works well, but the mouse doesn't at all. I have replaced the batteries three times. Over the last three days, the little green light on the bottom of the mouse has turned on twice and the mouse then worked. Shortly after, the light turned off and the mouse stopped working. It is very difficult using a computer without a mouse! Help!

I am assuming since you need batteries that the mouse is cordless. If so you normaly have to sync the mouse with the receiver. If the keyborad and mouse came as a package it will only have one receiver. There should be corresponding sync buttons for these devices.

Have you done any Updates? Drivers? Software? Go to the LogiTech Website : http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support/145?osid=13&bit=32. That's sort of the definition of something failing, "it worked yesterday, today it doesn't"

Before installing windows 7 my Logitech S510 keyboard would display things like volume changes and caps lock on my screen, but it doesn't anymore, how do I make those start reappearing?

I am sure when you have installed Windows 7 you have not updated all drivers of your computer.
You will need to install new Drivers for Logitech s510 keyboard those are compatible with windows 7.
Also, install new drivers for Windows 7 for all the components those you have otherwise sooner or later you will face the same issue for each of your hardware.

Its not the problem with the keyboard or the mouse
it seems that you need the full system scan..
of if you have wired keyboard and mouse connect them to the computer and check using them with the same browsers ... which will determine where the problem is ?

if the wireless keyboard and mouse are working fine
then need to update the drivers
or there is some problem Hack / Virus scan (not sure) but don't worry it could be a magnetic effect of speakers or monitor
you have to check them out

Space bar, left-side enter key and backspace do not respond.

Try buying a can of compressed air and cleaning around those areas if you have spilled liquid on them ,that could be the prob as well

Logitech Mouse Not Working

Normal 0 Are your batteries in the Keyboard and mouse good?

You probably have gotten it working by now but here is a way to get it work if not.

Press the Receiver button a(and the lights will start flashing, then if its the Keyboard that isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect.

If its the MOUSE do the same except push the small RESET?CONNECT button on the back of the mouse to connect. Then they should work properly. Hope this helps. Bud

How to program my new Keyboard cordless desktop S510

When I bought my s510 recently I couldn't use the function keys even with the software that came with the keyboard and mouse.

I had to actually download new logitech software for the s510 which allowed me to use the function/extra keys.

Navigate to:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard_mice_combos/devices/145&cl=US,EN

On the right hand side of the screen you will see 'Support Center' below it click 'Downloads,'
From there you can choose your OS w98 and language and download the software you need to get your keyboard working the way it should.
