Sd card wont format

Are you sure your camer supports 8 Mb? Check your manual. If you don't have one, download it:

If it is supposet to support 8Gb SC cards, get a microSD card USB reader and insert it in the computer. Can you ree it as Remvoabvle disk?
It the computer won'r recognize your card, it is BAD.
If you can see it, try to format it to FAT32
Again, if can't, card is BAD

When i install a scan disk 4gb hcsd card iget memory card error message

FORMAT the 4GB SDHC memory card IN the camer first. See manual page 41. If the problem persists, try another SD card.
If both have the same problem, your camera may need service.

I scan my camers memory card it shows 62 viruses

How are you getting viruses on your card? Are you using your computer to add pics to the card? If so, that's the problem. You need to format the card in the camera.

I bought a 1.0GB Scan disk and don't know how to format it...can you help?

maybe its write protected in that way you cant put any data or erase from it. its located from the side of your memory card.
formating your disk is as easy as selecting FORMAT DISK/MEMORY CARD
